As we all know, it is possible to prevent and control many diseases through immunizations. Some of these diseases include: diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, measles and polio, mumps, rubella and influenza. Most states have laws requiring immunizations for school enrollment. State laws requiring up to date immunizations for entry into licensed child care, head start, or school ensure better immunization levels among school-age children. In the state of Indiana, immunizations are required for diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, measles and polio. Below is the childhood vaccination schedule* for the state of Indiana:
