| WWE SmackDown! (9.16) Results - Spokane, Washington We have highlights of last week where The Big Show slaughtered everyone at the end of the show. The music of Torrie Wilson hits and it seems as if she is ready for action. Torrie is on the mic and she says it is time for match 4 of the best of 5 series for the United States Championship! United States Title Best of 5: Match 4 Booker T is up 2-1 John Cena vs. Booker T (c) The two lock up in the corner where Booker T gets a quick roll up for two. They lock again where Booker gets a hammer lock but Cena reverses only to get an elbow to the face. Booker throws some rights and lefts. The two tango and Booker gets a backslide for two. Booker in control with chops in the corner. Sunset flip by Cena for two followed by another roll-up for two. Cena then bodyslams Booker for another two count. This causes Booker T to take a breather. When we come back Cena is in control with a clothesline followed by the sit down hiptoss for a two count. Booker hangs Cena on the ropes though which allows him to get a crescent kick knocking Cena down for two. Booker T is in control with a head lock as the crowd helps Cena throw some elbows and headbutts to get out but a quick shot by Booker slows him down. Booker does his pin combo out of the corner but Cena rolls through for two but as he gets up Booker T gives him a side kick to the face. Booker covers for another two count. Booker T wears Cena down with a headlock until the two battle in the corner. Booker T takes Cena down and uses the ropes to try to pin but Nick Patrick catches him. The two men roll off the ropes where Cena nails a flapjack to even things up! Both men are down and when they get up Cena has the advantage with right hands. A clothesline by Cena puts Booker down, this is followed by a back elbow, but Cena misses a shoulder block afterwards and runs into a Booker T spinebuster. Booker covers for two. Booker T slides out of the ring to grab the US Title. Booker goes to swing butPatrick grabs it. Cena rolls Booker up for two. Cena hits a kick to the mid section followed by a running bulldog. Cena taunts and follows with the five knuckle shuffle! Cover for two yet AGAIN. Cena pumps it up and goes for the FU but Booker counters and goes for a side kick, but Cena ducks. The two fight into the corner where Cena unloads but in the process he hits Nick Patrick who turns around allowing Booker T to hit Cena with the belt! Booker T slowly covers for a 1...2... KICKOUT by Cena! Booker T is upset with his two count, he kicks Cena in the gut and he goes to hit the scissor kick but Cena ducks out and hits the FU followed by the cover for the victory! The series is now tied 2-2! Winner: John Cena Teddy Long is in the back with The Big Show and he says he shocked the world last week when he devestated the locker room. Teddy says he wants to take it to a whole new level and he has two contracts. One is Big Show vs. Eddie Guerrero, the other is Big Show vs. Kurt Angle. He has to make a decision as to which one he will sign tonight! Playa! Michael Cole introduces us to Billy Kidman who has been costing his team troubles as of late by not performing his finishing move. It cost them the titles last week. Kidman looks hesistant as the crowd boos him for walking out of the tag team championship last week. Cole reminds him that they boo'ed last week as well. Cole says "let's face it, you quit, didn't you?" Kidman says that he is not a quitter and he says he did not walk out on anyone, but he was trying to prevent another injury. He says he is the most misunderstood superstar on Smackdown. He says he's not afraid of doing the shooting starr press, he is afraid of hurting people. He visually brings us through the moment where he injured Chavo Guerrero. Kidman blames himself for Chavo's concussion. He says by the grace of God Chavo will be ok. He asks the people if they really want to see him hit the shooting star press. The crowd erupts. He calls them bloodthirsty animals. This brings out Paul London who says he has no idea where Billy is coming from with the whole misunderstood thing. If he was not ready to compete then why did he accept that match. "YOU WALKED OUT ON ME." He says Billy can deny it all he wants, but HE QUIT. Paul gives the mic to Billy and asks him what he has to say. Kidman says nothing. London slaps Kidman and takes off his shirt! Kidman circles and then leaves the ring as London looks on screaming. Kidman hits the top of the ramp and turns around, but then he turns around again and walks to the back! What is wrong with Billy Kidman? Tag Team Match Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam vs. The Dudley Boys D-von and RVD start it off. Dvon in control with clubs to the back early on. RVD counters with a Hurricanranna followed by a spin kick for two. Arm wrench by RVD allows a tag to Rey Mysterio. Mysterio comes off the ropes with a flipping moonsault taking Dvon down. Dvon hits a clothesline and tags Bubba. Baseball slide off the ropes by Mysterio but as he runs off the ropes Spike grabs his legs. D-Von and Bubba clear house by kcoking Mysterio out of the ring and RVD off the apron. Back in the rhing bubba lifts Mysterio over his head an drops him on top of the ropes. Bubba then grabs the legs of Mysterio and hits a wheel barrell suplex! He covers Mysterio but RVD breaks the count. Bubba yells to RVD that he will do it again so he tries the wheel barrell suplex again but Mysterio hits a counter with a bulldog. RVD is tagged in and he goes wild with kicks. He takes down D-Von and then catches the foot of Bubba Ray and spins him while hitting a heel kick. RVD goes to the top and hits a top rope kick on D-Von. He then does a spinning leg drop but afterwards Bubba hooks his foot and holds him against the ropes. D-Von runs at RVD but RVD ducks, D-Von stops before he hits Bubba but RVD kicks him in the back and the two collide anyways! RVD hits a wicked spin kick to the jaw of D-Von. When he does Rey Mysterio climbs the top rope and planchas on top of Bubba! Back in the ring RVD climbs the top rope and he comes down with the Frog Splash for the 3 count and victory! Winners: Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio The Aftermath: Spike Dudley comes in the ring very upset with his brothers. He yells at bobba and then kicks D-Von in the groin! He grabs Bubba by the face and yells at him telling him he is the BOSS! Bubba apologizes and it looks as if Spike is the leader of the Brothers Dudley! Highlights are shown last week of the confrontation between Michael Cole and Paul Heyman. Cole talks up trash about Heyman. We cut to the back where Eddie Guerrero is talking to the Big Show. He says he was not only surprised last week, he was impressed. It was like the running of the bulls and there was only one bull, a big damn bull. Eddie then goes on to say there is nothing wrong with what Big Show did because it was quite impressive. But he has a problem when it happens to him. He then tells the Big Show that when he goes to the ring, he better sign the contract that says Eddie Guerrero. JBL and Orlando Jordan are shown in the back where JBL says he needs to do something to make these fans like him. He says he is going to call the Undertaker out right now! Orlando tries to talk him out of it saying it is not a good idea but JBL says the people must not think he is scared. JBL heads to the ring where he will call out the Undertaker next! JBL comes out in his limo accompanied by Orlando Jordan ready to call out the Undertaker! JBL gets on the mic and says he is going to prove to all his fans that he is worthy. He says forget the funeral he talked about last week, he is going to take care of the Taker right now! JBL tells the Taker to get his seven foot carcass out here because they are going to get it on! The lights go out and the DONG hits and Taker is on his way to the ring! Taker hits the ring and JBL tells Jordan to hit the showers because he can do this on his own. Taker and JBL are in the ring all alone! JBL removes his jacket and so does Taker. Sleeves are rolled up and these two are ready to go. They circle and they start to throw em! Taker has the advantage with right hands followed by a big boot to JBL's head. Taker calls for the chokeslam but JBL cowers in the corner! JBL then smiles at Taker and when Taker turns, Gangrel and Orlando Jordan attack! Viscera also hits the ring and he squashes the Taker and gives him a chokeslam into a sitdown powerbomb. They all beat on the Taker and then stand around and admire their work. But the Taker sits up! JBL runs out of the ring and Taker goes wild on all 3 men left. He knocks Jordan down and then gives Gangrel and Vicsera clotheslines in the corner (2 each). Jordan catches a chokeslam! Taker throws Gangrel out of the ring and hits a big boot on Viscera! JBL comes in the ring though and hits the clothesline from hell! Taker is down and this allows Gangrel to drop a spinning elbow followed by Viscera dropping an elbow! Gangrel holds the Taker down and Viscera gives him two splashes! JBL places his foot on the Taker's chest and holds his belt high as the Taker has been taken down! JBL paid off the former members of the Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness! Non Title Tag Team Match The FBI vs. Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree Rene Dupree and Stamboli start it off and Dupree gets it going to a shoulder block knockdown. Stamboli counters with a backdrop suplex followed by a legdrop. Nunzio is tagged in and he rolls Dupree up for a two count. Nunzio then gets thrown outside the ring where Kenzo takes advantage of him by throwing him against the turn post. At this is happening, John Hiedenriech comes and kidnaps Michael Cole! Tazz has no idea what is going on but the action continues and everything is a big mess! Tazz says the hell with his job, if he loses it he loses it. Tazz goes to look for Cole! Somehow we are back in the ring where Nunzio is getting pinned and Stamboli saves him. Nunzio finally gets a tag and Stamboli goes CRAZY! All four men hit the ring eventually and Nunzio gets thrown to the outside. Stamboli unleashes on Kenzo and Rene with sick right hands and clotheslines! He takes out Kenzo Suzuki and tosses Rene Dupree a beat down. Johhny Stamboli hits a backbreaker on Rene Dupree and Nunzio climbs the top rope to come down with a leg drop but Kenzo throws him off the top and Nunzio slams hard on the outside mat. Back in the ring Kenzo pushes Stamboli into Dupree who hits a Michinoku Driver move for the victory! Winners: The tag team champions; Kenzo Susuki and Rene Dupree John H. is in the back with Michael Cole. He has him pinned up against the wall and it looks like he is taking him from behind! He tells Cole that he has been studying him and he knows they want the same thing. So he is going to give it to him. They are kind of close and this segment was very filled with homosexual tendencies. Luther Reigns sits down with the Big Show to talk to him. He says he knows that Show has a tough decision to make but he is going to tell it to him straight. He says that Smackdown needs Kurt Angle and that Big Show already threw Kurt Angle off a ledge so why should he try to hurt him any further. Luther says that he, Kurt, and the Big Show are all different and that he and Kurt understand the Big Show. But Eddie Guerrero, he and the people do not understand the Big Show.. so he asks Show to make the right decision tonight! When we come back from commercial John H. has Cole by the throat. John H. then says he is going to show Cole something that he has been waiting so long to show him. He then reads Cole a really crappy gothical poem. Cole looks on scared as John reads the poem. John opens the door and Cole goes to open it but John grabs him by the throat and asks Cole if he is going to thank him. Cole says thank you and John lets him run away. Tazz comes back to the ring but Cole does not. Non Title Match Spike Dudley vs. Charlie Haas Spike runs for the single leg but Charlie rolls through with Spikes head and he rolls him right out of the ring. Spike comes back in and runs at Haas who gives him a shoulder block followed by two huge hip tosses. After this happens though the Dudley Boys surround Miss Jackie which distracts Haas and allows Spike to ram him into the turnbuckle. Spike is in control as his brothers root him on. Charlie Haas counters a short arm scissor by lifting Spike above his head and dropping him to the mat! Haas in control with rights, lefts, and elbows followed by a diving cross body! Bubba Ray Dudley hits the ring but Haas knocks him out of the ring. This allows Spike to get a headbutt in! Spike goes for the Dudley Dog but Haas throws him to the outside! D-Von hits the ring and attacks Haas thus causing a DQ. The Dudley Boyz both hit the ring and they beat on Charlie a bit. Then D-Von holds Charlie and Bubba grabs a belt. He goes to hit charlie with it but Rico returns! Rico clears house with his kicks and then he grabs the belt and scares the Dudleys off! Winner by Disqualification: Charlie Haas Contract Signing: Who will Big Show Choose? Teddy Long comes to the ring and promotes the event. He then says there is only one man big enough to make this decision and it is the Big Show. (cue music.) The Big Show comes to the ring and sits down at the table with two contracts in front of him. Kurt Angle comes to the ring and when he approaches the table the Big Show stands up and stares him down. The two end up shaking hands. Eddie Guerrero comes to the ring in his low rider and he goes into the ring slowly watching his back. Teddy Long says he is going to give both men the chance to speak to the Big Show. Angle grabs the mic first and starts off by saying that even though Big Show threw him off a balcony, broke his leg and shortly ended his career, he holds no grudges. He says that he is all business and Kurt Angle vs. The Big Show is bad business. He says these people want to see The Big Show ruin Eddie Guerrero and stand up for them and put Eddie to rest and send him on a downward spiral. The crowd boos. Eddie gets his chance to talk and he says that Angle does not speak for the people or Eddie Guerrero because Eddie Guerrero speaks only for himself. He tells Big Show that if he wants a fight he can have one but No Mercy will be a day HE WILL NEVER FORGET. The Big Show looks over both contracts. He opens Eddie's but does not sign in. He opens Kurt's but does not sign it. The crowd is chanting "Triple Threat!" The Big Show signs Eddie's contract! Teddy confirms it but then Angle and Luther attack Eddie and kick him out of the ring. Eddie is celebrating and he tells the Big Show to destroy Eddie. Big Show smiles and laughs with Kurt but then all of the sudden he stops. He takes Eddie's signed contract and cracks the clipboard over his knee! He then signs Eddie's contract instead! Eddie and Luther are irate and they attack the Big Show but Eddie comes in and helps and he and The Big Show clear house! Teddy Long gets on the mic after all the commotion and says that next week it will be Kurt angle and Luther Reigns vs. Eddie Guerrero and The Big Show! End of Show.
