Kurt Angle was shown sitting in his office with a big smile on his face and Kurt said last Sunday at the Great American Bash, a great American justice occurred in the WWE Championship match between john Bradshaw Layfield and Eddie Guerrero. Referee Nick Patrick proclaimed Eddie Guerrero the winner of the match but he was wrong and Kurt Angle proved it by showing the following footage. (They showed clips from the Great American Bash where JBL was declared the new WWE Champion.) Kurt Angle said that he is proud of himself for having the guts to allow justice to prevail. This is not an active malice; he does not hold a grudge against Eddie Guerrero and he hopes Eddie doesn't hold a grudge against him. However, lying, cheating and stealing was never a match for intensity, integrity and intelligence. Eddie Guerrero is no longer the WWE Champion; there is a new sheriff in town and a new WWE Champion and that is John Bradshaw Layfield.

The music of JBL hit in the arena as Kurt Angle applauded the new WWE Champion as he rode out to the arena in his limousine. JBL got out of his limo and shook hands with the fans as he made his way out to the ring and you could hear some of the crowd grumbling as they were not happy to have JBL as their new WWE Heavyweight Champion.
The ring was covered with a red carpet and there were USA balloons on the turnbuckles and other USA decorations. JBL said as our late great former president Ronald Reagan once said; it's morning again in America. It's the dawn of a new era, the John Bradshaw Layfield era. And he promises this, to all of his fans, he will become the most popular WWE Champion of all time. JBL knows how America loves a winner, and JBL will give that love back to America. He will shake hands with you, America, all of his fans. Of course, he prefers a nod of recognition for sanitary reasons because shaking hands, you can get germs and you don't want your champion getting sick, do you? And for those of you who insist on shaking his hand, don't be offended by the fact that he will take out a little hand sanitizer and he wants everyone to know that it isn't personal, it's just personal hygiene. Because he will kiss your babies as long as they don't smell bad, don't spit up and don't have runny noses. He just wants the fans to get to know him and he prefers to be called Mr. Bradshaw and if you want to get familiar with him, you can call him Champion or Champ because he is the WWE Champion. You see, after Ronald Reagan passed away and JFK and Martin Luther King were taken from us at such an early age, what you need America is a Champion. JBL is proud to be your Champion, so he doesn't mind you saying it and you can say it now if you want; JBL, JBL because that will inspire him to be the fighting Champion that he will be unlike Eddie Guerrero. You see, JBL went into Kurt Angle's office and looked him in the eye and said that he wants to fight tonight and defend this WWE Championship and not just against anybody but against somebody who was at the Great American Bash. And he plans on defending this tonight, right here in Fayetteville, North Carolina. And Mr. Angle told JBL that he could choose the person that he wants to defend his Championship against as long as that person was not Eddie Guerrero. Because quite honestly, he feels like Eddie has fallen off the wagon. Because quite honestly, Eddie is not here. If he were here, he would come out here like a man, shake JBL's hand and tell him the better man won last Sunday. But he won't do that because he's sad to say that Eddie Guerrero is probably knee deep in a bottle of pills and a bottle of vodka and it hurts him very badly to know that we had a champion to be ashamed of. Be ashamed no more because the era of John Bradshaw Layfield has arrived and JBL guaranteed victory at Judgment Day and he guaranteed that he would be the new WWE Champion at the Great American Bash. So he guarantees to his fellow Americans that he will be a Champion that you can be proud of. Thank you and God bless America.
Number One Contendership Match (U.S.)
Triple Threat Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Booker T vs. Rene Dupree
The music of Rob Van Dam hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a Triple Threat Match against Booker T and Rene Dupree to determine the number one contender for John Cena's United States Championship!
RVD and Rene Dupree exchanged words and Booker went for a right hand on RVD but RVD blocked it and knocked Booker down with a forearm and then he turned around and nailed Rene Dupree with a spin kick to send him down to the mat and to win this match, you must score a pinfall or a submission on either opponent to end the contest.
Rob Van Dam went to the top rope and came off with a kick to the chest of Booker T to send him down to the mat and then he covered Booker T but only got a two count as Rene Dupree flew back into the ring after being knocked over the top rope, to break up the pin.
Rene Dupree went for a piledriver on Rob Van Dam but RVD blocked it and then Rene Dupree went for a sunset flip but RVD rolled through and went off the ropes and nailed Dupree with a drop kick to send him flat to the mat. RVD then nailed Rene Dupree with the rolling thunder and then he covered him but only got a two count as Booker T broke it up.
Rene Dupree held onto Rob Van Dam and Booker went to hit him with a super kick but RVD moved and Booker sent Dupree down to the mat with the super kick. RVD then knocked Booker to the outside of the ring with a clothesline and then he nailed Rene Dupree to send him flying into the ropes and Rene Dupree got stuck in the ropes. RVD then went off the ropes and gave Rene Dupree a drop kick to the mid section.
As the referee tried to loosen up the ropes to free Rene Dupree, Booker got in the ring with a steel chair but RVD kicked the chair right into the face of Booker T to send him down to the mat. After the official freed Rene Dupree, RVD gave Dupree a slingshot over the top rope to the arena floor and then RVD went to the top rope and jumped on Dupree with a plancha.
Behind the referee's back, Rene Dupree gave Booker T a low blow to send Booker down into the corner and Dupree went over and stomped away on him as RVD set up a steel chair in the corner. RVD went to whip Rene Dupree into the chair but Rene reversed it to send RVD into the steel chair, head first. Rene Dupree then gave Rob Van Dam a German suplex into a pin for a two count.
Booker T planted Rene Dupree with a spinebuster and then he did the spinaroonie and when he turned around, he walked into a spinning heel kick by RVD. RVD then hopped to the top rope and came off with the five star frog splash and then Rene Dupree rolled Rob Van Dam up to pin him for another two count.
RVD knocked Rene Dupree down with a heel kick and then he went to the top rope and came off the top rope with the five star frog splash on Dupree and then pinned him for a two count as Booker T pulled RVD out of the ring. Booker T then got in the ring and pinned Rene Dupree for the three count to become the number one contender for the United States Title!
Winner - Booker T
A backstage worker was shown knocking on JBL's locker room and JBL came out and the guy said JBL was requested in the locker room and they wanted to know when they can expect him? JBL said outstanding, he'll be right there.
Backstage: Luther Reigns was shown in the locker room area with Charles Robinson and Luther told Charles that this is the footage he wanted him to see, footage from the Great American Bash from the match that Charles officiated; Torrie vs. Sable. They showed the footage and that footage clearly showed Torrie Wilson's shoulder off the mat. Luther said that he saw that, right? Torrie's shoulders weren't even down. Mr. Angle has no love loss for Torrie Wilson that's for sure but he does demand perfection and he will not tolerate mistakes. Charles said that he understands and Luther said you're damn right and he is going to get the chance to make it up because tonight, he is going to referee the rematch; Torrie Wilson vs. Sable. Make no mistake about it, you screw this up and the consequences will be severe. Luther Reigns left the room and Charles did not look too happy.
Backstage: Booker T, John Cena and other WWE Superstars were shown in the locker room and JBL showed up and said America is the land of opportunity and like he said, he is going to give somebody that was at the Great American Bash the opportunity to become the WWE Champion. The question is, who is it going to be? Is it going to be the five time Champion Booker T? Or will it be 619? Or is it going to be the Hardcore Legend, Bob Holly? Or the rapster, John Cena? Word, Dawg. Or a Dudley. JBL said that he's already made up his mind and chosen who it is going to be and the person he chooses to fight tonight for the WWE Championship is none other than a Dudley. Bubba and D-Von got pumped up and JBL said can you just imagine, tonight, right here the WWE Championship; John Bradshaw Layfield vs. a Dudley... Spike Dudley! The entire locker room was not happy at all as they argued after JBL left the room.
Next week, John Cena will defend the United States Title against Booker T!
Non Title Match
Mordecai vs. Rey Mysterio (c)
The music of Rey Mysterio hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion and this is a one on one match with Rey Mysterio facing Mordecai!
Mordecai and Rey Mysterio locked it up in the center of the ring and Mordecai powered Mysterio into the corner and then gave him a knee bash and went for a clothesline but Rey ducked it and nailed Mordecai in the corner and then quickly backed off.
Rey Mysterio went for a drop toe hold on Mordecai but he was unable to take him down and then Mordecai stomped on Mysterio as he was down on the mat.
Mordecai gave Rey Mysterio a full nelson and then he slammed him into the turnbuckle, head first and then got out of the ring and grabbed Mysterio's arms and stretched them back as Mysterio's head leaned against the ring post.
Rey Mysterio nailed Mordecai with the 619 to send him flying back towards the center of the ring and then he went for the West Coast Pop but Mordecai caught Rey and gave him a power bomb onto the ropes. Rey got up and charged at Mordecai but Mordecai gave Mysterio a big boot to send him down to the mat.
Mordecai went for the Crucifix Power Bomb but Rey Mysterio countered it into the West Coast Pop and a pin for the three count to pick up the win!

Update on the condition of Paul Bearer: He suffered severe internal injuries, severe injuries to the lungs and trachea. It is doubtful that we will ever see Paul Bearer on Smackdown! again due to the horrific nature of his injuries.
Paul Heyman's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and he got in the ring and took the mic and said that he is the single most impactful power broker in all of World Wrestling Entertainment. You see, it was Paul Heyman who forced the Undertaker against his own will to accept the fact that his human emotions for Paul Bearer was the only thing stopping the Phenom from inflicting a reign of terror the likes of most of you have never seen before. It was Paul Heyman who compelled the Undertaker to face his only weakness and it was Paul Heyman who showed the Undertaker the way at the Great American Bash to do the right thing. But even Paul Heyman had to be surprised at the Great American Bash when the Undertaker made the conscious decision to do the right thing. Oh ladies and gentlemen, he calls our attention to the screen where history demands your attention. They showed footage from this past Sunday night where Paul Bearer was destroyed in the Concrete Crypt. Ladies and gentlemen, now the Undertaker is truly unstoppable because now the Undertaker has no conscience. Now, the Undertaker has no restraints. There is nothing stopping the Undertaker from being more dangerous than he has ever been before. And let's face facts, the Undertaker has no one to thank but Paul Heyman. The Undertaker owes Paul Heyman a debt of gratitude and Paul Heyman intends on collecting that debt with interest because.... BOOM. Four lightning bolts hit the ring posts and then the music of the Undertaker hit in the arena and he appeared on the Titantron. The Undertaker said that Heyman showed Taker that he had a weakness and that weakness was Paul Bearer. The Undertaker had no other choice than to get rid of him but if he would do that to the one person that mattered to him, the only living soul that he cared for, can you imagine what he's going to do to Paul Heyman? Paul Heyman... Rest in Peace. After hearing that, Paul Heyman remained in the ring with a look of emptiness on his face.
Torrie Wilson vs. Sable
Charles Robinson was shown in the ring and he has a ton of pressure put on him as he must call this match right down the middle and he must call it right because who knows what will happen to Mr. Robinson. The following contest is a Great American Bash rematch, scheduled for one fall and it is none other than Sable against Torrie Wilson!
Torrie plowed through Sable with a clothesline and then she mounted her and slammed her head on the mat. Sable bailed out of the ring and tried to leave through the crowd but Torrie Wilson grabbed her and then rolled her back into the ring.
Sable gave Torrie a snapmare to send her down to the mat and then Sable gave Torrie a couple hard kicks in the back. Sable then put Torrie over the bottom rope and choked her against the rope as Charles Robinson warned Sable to get her off the ropes.
Torrie Wilson pulled Sable down to the mat with a back slide and then she pinned her but only got a two count.
Moments later, Torrie planted Sable with a DDT and then she covered her for the three count to pick up the win.

The Aftermath: Charles Robinson was happy to have the match over and Kurt Angle appeared on the Titantron and Kurt congratulated Charles, he managed to officiate a match without incident but unfortunately that is not good enough. Kurt cannot let what happened at the Great American Bash go unpunished. In order for him to see how his decisions affect the Superstars, he needs to become one himself. His shirt? Take it off. Charles reluctantly took his shirt off and Kurt said that's better, because he's putting him in a match, a match he will compete in unless of course he wants to lose his job. Kurt said he thought so... so get ready because he is going to be sending out his opponent, Luther Reigns.
Charles Robinson vs. Luther Reigns
After a commercial break, Jim Korderas was shown in the ring with Charles Robinson and Charles Robinson did not look too happy about having to wrestle Luther Reigns.
Charles Robinson bailed right out of the ring and Luther Reigns went after him and gave him a knee to the mid section. Luther Reigns then rolled Charles Robinson back into the ring and Charlie Haas came out of nowhere and hammered away on Luther Reigns. Charlie knocked Luther out of the ring through the ropes and then he grabbed Charles Robinson and helped him out of the ring. As Haas walked away with Robinson, you could hear Luther yelling "I'm going to get you, Haas!"

Backstage: Spike Dudley was shown backstage taping up his wrists and Bubba and D-Von showed up. Bubba asked Spike how things are? What did he do, hit the lottery? Spike asked him what he means and Bubba said he knows exactly what he means. JBL wins the WWE Championship and Spike is the Dudley he is talking about? He is the one that gets the first opportunity at his title? Something is up, what gives? Spike asked Bubba if he thinks he controls what JBL does? D-Von said that's amazing, it really is. They've been here a few years now and D-Von doesn't ever recall getting a WWE Championship match, does he? Bubba said never have they gotten an opportunity like this, but Spike is going to make this family proud. They are his brothers and they are going to watch his back. If anything goes wrong in that ring, they will be the first ones there. You know why? Spike Dudley looks good with gold and after he goes in there and defeats JBL, he knows that he and D-Von will be the first in line at the new WWE Championship. Isn't that right little brother? Spike Dudley agreed that they are family, but if he is going to beat JBL in the ring tonight, he'll just as soon do it on his own. As for their help? Thank you but no thanks.

In ring promo: The music of Kenzo Suzuki hit in the arena and he was carried out to the ring, accompanied by his Geisha girl, Hiroko. Hiroko handed Kenzo Suzuki a microphone and Kenzo spoke in Japanese and I could not understand one word he said.
John Cena's music started playing and he made his way out to the ring as the United States Heavyweight Champion! Cena got in the ring and he said every week, Kenzo Suzuki comes out to the ring, mad as a mother f... boy's angry. But hey, we got a problem; nobody understands a damn thing he is saying! Ya'll gotta recognize, you're up in North Carolina! You're in their hood now. Don't get him wrong, these people are coaching up in here and they understand basic Japanese, you know like sushi. Cena has tried it all; he even goes to the red snap once a month. One time, he got too crumped up on Saki and it was weird but it's cool. Yo, Godzilla! Cena gave his impersonation of Godzilla and then he said we know about the happy ending. Ya'll try to keep it secret, but we know about it and Cena loves you for it! But he is out here for Kenzo. John is Kenzo's boy... he's fluent in Japanese. So what we gonna do is he is going to get that promo back up on the screen and John Cena is going to tell the whole world why in the hell Kenzo is so angry and what the hell he is about.
They replayed Kenzo Suzuki's promo on the big screen and John said he is a little rusty, but in John Cena's words, it said: Ladies and gentlemen, I make these horribly ugly faces because I'm violently constipated and my name is Kenzo Suzuki! Oh the poo poo is horrible, it's like trying to stuff a loaf of French bread through a keyhole, that's why he needs to be escorted on his own personal toilet all the way to the ring here in the United States of America! This is my hermaphrodite proctologist, Hiroko. Tonight, we will go on a date and maybe we will see the movie White Chicks. I think she will like it. She gets her face painted white every night! You can catch my horrible Japanese mullet on your local gay naked beach and if you have problems with your poop, you too can be Kenzo Suzuki!
John said not to thank him all at once, he just taught everyone Japanese. OK, now they are going to return the favor to him because John Cena and all of North Carolina are going to teach Kenzo Suzuki some English. Ready? YOU CAN'T SEE ME! John Cena then left the ring and Kenzo Suzuki didn't look too happy, even though he couldn't understand one word Cena said. Hiroko remained in the ring with Kenzo Suzuki and she translated what John Cena said and he got mad and challenged Cena to come back to the ring, but Cena smiled and walked off.
Backstage: John Bradshaw Layfield was shown walking through the backstage area and he greeted the backstage workers as he walked by. JBL came across a car that had two dice on it and JBL asked a guy who's car this is? The guy told JBL that it's Eddie Guerrero's car and then JBL nervously went on his way.

Spike Dudley vs. John Bradshaw Layfield (c)
Spike Dudley's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and this is a WWE Title Match with JBL defending the title against Spike Dudley!
JBL and Spike Dudley locked it up in the center of the ring and JBL powered Spike into the corner and then broke it up and smiled at Spike. Spike and JBL locked it up once again and JBL shoved Spike Dudley back to the corner as the fans chanted "Eddie, Eddie!"
John Bradshaw Layfield lifted Spike Dudley up and put him in a torture rack and Spike struggled to get out of it and he landed on his feet but JBL knocked him down with a hard shoulder block.
JBL went for the clothesline from hell but Spike ducked it and gave JBL a shot to the mid section and then he planted him with the Dudley Dog and then pinned him but only got a two count. Spike Dudley then laid into JBL with a number of hard right hands and then he went off the ropes but JBL caught Spike and gave him a spinebuster.
JBL gave Spike Dudley two hard clotheslines and then a power bomb and a pin for the three count to retain the title!

The Aftermath: Eddie Guerrero's music hit in the arena and he immediately appeared at the entrance way and then he stormed to the ring and laid into John Bradshaw Layfield. Eddie gave JBL a low blow and then he planted him with a DDT as the crowd went nuts for Guerrero. JBL got out of the ring and started to leave but Eddie told him to take it easy and then he asked where he's going? Doesn't he want to hear what he has to say? Eddie told JBL to enjoy his reign as long as he can because it's not going to last much longer. Way before Kurt Angle became General Manager when Eddie Guerrero won the WWE Championship; he made sure he put a return match clause in his contract. And this clause says that Eddie Guerrero gets to choose the type of match that he wants! So two weeks from now right here on Smackdown!, it's not just going to be John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Championship, no, it's going to be JBL vs. Latino Heat in a Steel Cage Match! Viva La Raza!
