Rey Misterio pins Tajiri to win the Cruiserweight Championship in a great match.
He delivers an in ring promo afterwards that gets cut off by Big Show who begins to hock some of his new shirt. Mysterio gets upset and throws the shirt into the crowd. Big Show starts beating on Rey and is about to chokeslam him until Holly runs out and dropkicks him.
Backstage Show throws a tantrum until Heyman tries to calm him down. He then makes Show vs. Holly as the main event. Big Show destroys another TV.
Bradshaw defeats Rhyno in a short match.
Footage of Christmas in Iraq is shown again.
Cena and Heyman are talking backstage. Heyman tells Cena that if he wins a match tonight he can be in the Royal Rumble. He agrees and then Heyman tells him to pick a partner of his choice for his match against all three members of the FBI. If Cena and his partner win, they can both be in the Rumble.
Cena/Benoit defeat FBI
Benoit (who got a huge pop) came out to be Cena�s partner and even laid down a small rhyme.
Then the big angle of the night...
�Your Olympic Hero is back, baby!�
Kurt Angle returns with a few words about the soldiers he�s met. He told a story about a soldier who left his pregnant wife at home. The baby was born and he won�t be able to see her for a year. He relates to him because he has a baby girl of his own. He says that if he can�t kick some ass for his country overseas, then he�ll kick ass in the ring as he�s just entered himself into the Royal Rumble.
A video promo let everyone that Billy Gunn will return at the Rumble.
Backstage promo as Heyman berates Benoit saying he�s a working grunt like everyone in the crowd. He lets him know that he�s management and that he�s number one. And now he�s going to make Benoit number one. Number one in the Royal Rumble. Benoit twists Heyman�s finger when he poked him in the chest and lets him know that he�s going to win.
Wasn�t sure what happened here. Too Cool come out then the Bashams. I figured it was a match, but apparently it was just a beat down. Shaniqua botches a powerbomb on Scotty, since he�s too heavy. She tries it again and almost lands him on his neck. The three take care of Scotty and Rikishi then let them know that just because they beat them in a non title match, doesn�t mean they�re number one contenders or that they�ll beat the for the titles.
Backstage again as the faces celebrate Mysterio�s title win. Eddie Guerrero then lets Mysterio that he�s going to enter the Rumble. Chavo then shows up and takes Eddie aside. He lets Eddie know that he�s selfish and that his focus should be on the Tag Titles, not himself in the Rumble. They head for their match.
World�s Greatest Tag Team beat Los Guerreros after Chavo tagged himself back in then got superkicked by Shelton after Eddie was knocked to the outside.
After the match, it looks like they�ve finally split as Chavo slaps Eddie, blaming him for the loss. Before Eddie can hit Chavo back, Angle runs out and holds Eddie back as Chavo just leaves. Huge heat for Chavo.
Backstage Promo with Angle telling Eddie that he agrees with Chavo. Tells him Chavo is his blood and he has to stick with him. Eddie just yells that Angle isn�t his family and that he�s done so much for Chavo. Angle just keeps repeating that he agrees with Chavo.
Main Event.
Hardcore Holly vs. Big Show
Rey Mysterio runs down to help Hardcore Holly, but Big Show swats him out of the air. Holly uses the chair on Big Show so they call for the bell. The crowd was completely dead for this match.
End of show with Show bleeding.
Good show with three big happenings (Mysterio winning the title, Angle�s return, and Los Guerreros finally split.)
