| - There's nothing like being at a live WWE event. RAW last night was purely awesome. It's too bad that everyone who watched on tv missed the special moment involving Ric Flair after RAW went off the air. As I child that grew up just 30 miles frome Greenville, SC, I had the opportunity to see Ric Flair in the old Memorial Auditorium on many Monday nights back in the 80s. I am an 26 year old WRESTLING fan that appreciates what Flair means to this business. I've met him and shook his hand just 6 years ago, and "The Man" was as humble as any I've met. Last night may have just been the best moment I've experienced in my 19 years as a wrestling fan. - I want to recap the ending of RAW and the beginning of a tribute of the "dirtiest player in the game". Nash came down to chase away Triple H and check on the "Nature Boy". Then the cameras stopped rolling on TNN, and the magic started. HBK's music hits and he comes down the ramp to a great ovation. Following him are most of the superstars from the locker room, all applauding. They all enter the ring to hug Flair, then the glass hits! Austin makes his way into the ring and out the other side to grab his beer cooler. He gives one to Ric and then begins to give the rest of the superstars beers. Next, Stephanie McMahon's music hits, and she comes down to the ring to offer her thanks. Then, Shane O'Mac dances his way down the ramp. And then Vince McMahon himself struts to the ring to confront Flair. After a little staredown, Vinnie Mac smiles and hugs Flair. That was so damn cool. Triple H comes back down to the ring, greeted by boos....especially from my row. Shane O'Mac holds the ropes for Triple H to enter...Triple H is not even in the family yet, and already big brother Shane is "whipped". Well, the superstars part to each side of Flair as Triple H and Flair stare down one another. Then the coolest thing happens as Triple H puts the World Title on Flair's shoulder and raises his arm. The crowd goes crazy for this. The superstars lift Flair on their shoulders and carry him around the ring to a huge fanfare. Then we all yell "Speech, speech, speech!". Triple H gets on the mic and says to Flair "Talk to 'em." Flair is in tears, and takes the mic for his speech. He says he's had made some great memories in Greenville. He thanks all the fans and explains that even though the boys don't always give the fans what we want, that they give everything they have to please us in their performances. He thanks his fellow wrestlers and says they are the greatest he has worked with and he's never been happier than the time he's spent with them the last few years. He says he's as honored at 54 to walk down the aisle as he was when he was 24. He thanks the crowd and walks up the ramp to end the show. - What a wonderful show of respect for the best wrestler to step in the ring. I wonder if this was Flair's last match, and if it is I'm sure Flair would have no reason for any regrets. I even gained some respect for Trips for his show of respect for Ric Flair. Thank you Ric Flair for all the memories you have given all your fans. Thank you for memories in Greenville over the years that I will never forget.
