WWE RAW Results - 8/25/03 - Chris Jericho vs Shane McMahon
The Raw music video plays, the pyros explode and we are LIVE from Tucson, Arizona, just one day after SummerSlam!

- Goldberg comes out for the opening interview with stitches across his forehead. He says that the world heavyweight title is his and Triple H knows it so he invites the champion to come out and finish what they started last night.
- Triple H comes out at the top of the ramp with Ric Flair and Randy Orton so Goldberg again challenges him to a one-on-one match tonight. Trips takes his shirt off as if he's willing to oblige but then takes a mic and asks Goldberg what he doesn't get about this scene. Do you think you're bigger, stronger and badder than me? Triple H then toots his own horn saying he not only beat Goldberg last night, he beat the top five superstars on RAW. He proved that he's the best wrestler alive today.
- Goldberg then responds by saying that he will come after Triple H every time. He says he will stalk his puny ass until he gives him what he wants and that's a match one-on-one for the heavyweight belt. However, this time he will beat Triple H's ass to death.
- Triple H asks Goldberg why he thinks he's different than everyone else? Everyone else thought they could get the job done, so what makes him different? Goldberg says maybe he hasn't noticed but he's Goldberg so Triple H says he sure is and he's sick of it. The only reason he's standing in the ring right now is because Flair and Orton pulled him off last night but he's starting to get pissed off.
- Triple H then says that he'll give him the title shot one-on-one but at Unforgiven rather than tonight. Triple H then says that if Goldberg wins he'll become the world heavyweight championship (wow, Goldberg will turn into a belt!). But if you lose, you're finished and retired and can never step into a wrestling again. So he asks Goldberg to stop and think about the ramifications of this challenge. Goldberg accepts and says the only funeral that will be happening is Triple H's. They stare each other down and then Triple H leaves.

Backstage we see Trish Stratus getting ready for a match, presumably to take place next.

Gail Kim vs. Trish Stratus
As Trish is coming down to the ring, she is attacked by Gail Kim from behind. Inside the ring, Gail continues her assault on Kim before snapping on a sleeper hold for a couple minutes. Trish tries a suplex to counter the sleeper but Gail holds on. Trish finally escapes by flipping her over but a few seconds later, Gail puts it back on.
Trish finally counters with an inverted suplex/flip off the turnbuckle and then blocks a few of Gail's punches before throwing some of her own. Gail comes running at her but Trish hits a spinebuster for a two count. Reverse knife edge chops by Trish and then a kick to the face gets another two count. Trish then hits the Stratusfaction and gets the pinfall victory.
Winner: Trish Stratus

As Trish leaves the ring celebrating, Molly Holly come running down and beats up Trish. Molly then enters the ring where Gail is just getting up and then they just cut away to JR and Lawler. Hmmm, I don't know if that was a TSN edit job or what but nothing happened I guess.

We then see clips from last night's Summerslam where Eric Bischoff talks about the incidents between himself and Linda McMahon. They then announce that Linda will be the special guest on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel tonight.

Backstage, we see Molly choking out Gail. She says that Gail has two choices - one is to keep fighting Molly and keep getting her ass beat or to team up and take out Trish Stratus. So Molly wants to know what it will be and Gail says "Trish doesn't stand a chance."

As Rodney Mack and Theodore Long come down to the ring, Long says that he is interested in expanding his little group. Through negotiations, he has been contacted by a man who wants to join his cause. He then introduces Mark Henry who comes out to virtually no reaction whatsoever. After all this happens, Henry and Mack's opponents, Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade come out.

Rodney Mack & Mark Henry vs. Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade

Cade and Mack start things off but they really don't do much before Cade tags out to Jindrak who hits a dropkick and an inverted atomic drop before hitting a clothesline off the top rope. Henry gets tagged in and drops Jindrak and then picks Cade up and throws him to the outside. Henry misses a charge so Jindrak capitalizes but gets caught while trying for a high cross body and Henry gets the easy pinfall.
Winners: Rodney Mack & Mark Henry

Backstage, Lance Storm and Goldust talk and Storm says that last week Goldust set him up by putting a woman in the women's lockerroom. Goldust says well now he has a very healthy relationship but Storm doesn't agree and we see a midget Goldust who is hanging on to Storm's leg. Rosey flies in and says there is a commotion in the ring, but Storm says he has other things on his mind. A woman walks in and tells Rosey that there is a man in the ring with a t-shirt gun so Rosey takes off to deal with him. Hurricane then flies in and asks the woman what she told Rosey and she tells him so Hurricane runs off too.

We see clips of the Rock's next movie, The Rundown which hits theatres in late September.

We then see footage of what happened during the commercial with the t-shirt guy. Rosey attacks the t-shirt guy and splashed him in the corner thinking it was a real gun. This brings Hurricane out who asks Rosey what he has done. It was an innocent man and he just squashed him like a bug...whassupwitdat?!

We see clips of last night's Shane McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff match.

Backstage, Terri interviews Steve Austin and asks him what he makes of Jonathan Coachman's actions last night. Austin says he was sitting in the back watching the match and all of a sudden Coach attacks Shane McMahon and Eric changes the rules of the match. So he decided to go out to investigate like any good GM would do. And once there, he was provoked and attacked so he retaliated in self-defense. Austin says then he was about to leave, but then for no reason whatsoever, Bischoff slapped him so then in self-defense he had to give Eric a Stone Cold Stunner.

Eric Bischoff comes into the picture sporting a black eye and says Austin was half the reason why the black eye happened. He asks Austin to tell everyone the truth, not his version of the truth. Bischoff says Austin wasn't provoked by anyone. But since Coach proudly said that he was an employee of Eric Bischoff, tonight he will award him with an employee of the month award and Austin better not interfere.

We come back to see La Resistance and Rob Conway make their way down to the ring for a six man tag team match against D-Von, Bubba and Spike Dudley. Conway gets on the mic and introduces himself as an American who is disgusted at the way everyone disrespects the tag team world champions. Is it because they are French? No, it's because everyone is ignorant and that's the problem with this country. He then goes on a rant about America's fight against terrorism blah blah blah and then says that American citizens are the real terrorists blah blah blah.

Dudley Boyz vs. La Resistance & Rob Conway
The Dudley Boyz' music hits and Spike comes out first but while La Resistance and Conway turn around and wait for Bubba and D-Von to come out, they instead come through the crowd and attack the heels from behind.
The Dudleys dominate the early parts of the match with Bubba beating up all three of Sylvain Grenier, Rob Conway and Rene Dupree by himself. D-Von then comes in and together they hit the 3-D on Dupree but Grenier comes in instead and gets greeted with Spike's Dudley Dog. Chaos ensues after Bubba throws Spike to the outside on Dupree but out of nowhere Conway hits Bubba with the title belt to pick up the win.
Winners: La Resistance & Rob Conway

Backstage, Linda McMahon is seen making her way to the ring.

Jericho's Highlight Reel
- Chris Jericho is already in the ring to conduct his Highlight Reel but first talks about the cuts and bruises he suffered in the Elimination Chamber match. He says that it was a match he could have and should have won if it wasn't for Goldberg. He was ready to take Goldberg down like he has done in the past but hey, in the end Goldberg got what he deserved.
- Jericho then changes his gears and talks about last week's footage of Eric Bischoff kissing Linda McMahon right on the lips. But he also heard Linda's cries of passion and asks for the footage to be re-aired which of course it does. With that he introduces Linda McMahon and while she walks down to the ring, JR puts her over.
- Jericho immediately asks Linda about what really happened when the cameras went off the air last week on RAW - did they make it to the bedroom, did they do it like two Arizona jackrabbits? Linda just laughs and says that the truth is that Bischoff is just a very creative liar. After they went off the air, security came and escorted Bischoff off the property. Nonetheless, Eric acted in an unprofessional manner and that calls for consequences.
- Linda says she's thought about firing Bischoff but she thinks if she did that, Vince would come along right behind her to re-hire Bischoff just to get back at Shane. With that Vince's music hits and out he comes.
- Vince says that Linda may be the CEO but he's the chairman of the board and he's decided that there will be no repurcussions of Bischoff's actions. In fact, Vince says he was the one who invited Bischoff into their home last week. He then talks about how Linda is acting like she is a victim but there is only victim around here - me, Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince feels that he's a victim of her, her marriage and their kids.
- Linda then responds by saying that Vince needs psychological help so Vince just laughs at her and says he doesn't need help from anyone, he doesn't need anything. But he may need help from Stephanie and Shane because he feels a lot like Kane. At one time, all the fans were behind Kane and then they all turned their backs on him and that's how he feels.
- Shane McMahon's music hits and he comes out and stands beside his mother before stepping up and grabbing the mic from Vince. Shane says yes, Vince and Kane are actually a lot alike because deep down they are both monsters. And as far as he is concerned, the two of them can rot hell. Jericho then interrupts and says you don't just come down here and talk to Vince like that. Vince commands and deserves respect and he does respect Vince. Jericho then says that the Highlight Reel is for invited guests only and Shane was never invited. Jericho then says "this man happens to be your father, asshole" and Shane corrects him and says "no, this asshole just happens to be my father."
- Out of nowhere, Jericho cheapshots Shane by nailing him with the microphone before beating him down a bit and before leaving with Vince. As they walk up the ramp, Vince announces that tonight Shane will face Jericho in a match.

Randy Orton vs. Maven

Randy Orton comes out first with Ric Flair by his side so Maven brings out Shawn Michaels with him to make it even. Orton goes right after Maven with a near fall and repeated punches to the head before levelling him with two uppercuts. Another cover and another two count. Orton continues to dominate the match with more near falls so Flair steps on the apron and gets the ref distracted which causes Shawn to do the same. As the ref lectures Shawn, Flair cheapshots Maven so Shawn comes around the other side and hits him with the Sweet Chin Music.
The match progresses with Maven getting in some offense but Orton fights back with his finisher but refuses to pin Maven. Orton taunts Michaels and then mocks him by slamming his foot on the mat and hitting the Sweet Chin Music. He finally covers Maven and gets the 1-2-3.
Winner: Randy Orton

After the match, Shawn enters the ring and stares down Orton but then falls to his knees and checks on Maven while still keeping an eye on Orton. Randy smiles so Shawn gets up but the ref keeps them apart.

Backstage, we see Eric Bischoff looking at his Employee of the Month award and saying it's perfect and that Coach deserves it.

In the arena, Terri interviews Funk Master Flex who plugs his show on Spike TV.

- Back in the ring, Eric Bischoff introduces Jonathan Coachman, who is the winner of the Employee of the Month award. Coach comes in and shakes Bischoff's hand and they pose together for a photo before Eric hands him the plaque. Coach then talks about last night, saying that he only did what his boss told him to do. And he's happy to work for Bischoff.
- Coach then says that Eric recognizes top talent unlike Stone Cold, who attacked him last night without provocation. He's also not Austin's boy like JR and they show the footage from a few weeks ago when Ross replaced Coach at the commentating booth. Coach says that JR was unprofessional and he wants an apology and he will get it sooner or later but right now, he wants an apology from Austin for attacking him last night.
- Stone Cold doesn't come out but Christian does instead. Christian says Coach has a point but nobody deserves an apology more than him. He's the Intercontinental champion and he wasn't even on Summerslam, intentionally by Austin. Austin's music hits and he comes out and tells Coach that he couldn't even carry JR's jockstrap. He also refuses to apologize but has brought a sympathy card with him. He reaches into the envelope and gives Coach the finger. Coach then takes a shot at Lawler so Jerry challenges him to a match but this angers Christian who says he is tired of being ignored and he's ready to do something about it.
- Austin turns his attention to Christian and says if he wants action, he'll get it. Tonight in this ring, it will be Christian against Jerry Lawler but the Intercontinental title will be on the line because Stone Cold said so.

Intercontinental Title
Christian vs. Jerry 'The King' Lawler

We come back live just as the match is starting with Christian gaining the upperhand. JR and Coach argue during most of the match with Coach asking for an apology and JR wondering why he even deserves one. Coach bothers JR through the whole match while inside the ring, Lawler fights back with some punches and a back bodydrop that leads to a two count. Christian goes for a backslide but Jerry counters it and thumbs him in the eye.
Christian takes too much time on the top rope so Lawler drops him from there and then drops a punch from the top. He does it again from the second rope but as he goes for the win, Coach runs down and pulls Lawler out. Jerry chases Coachman around the ring but when he catches him, Christian hits him from behind and rolls him up for the 1-2-3. Christian and Coachman leave together while JR apologizes for not calling the match properly.
Winner: Christian

Backstage, we see Shane McMahon walking down a hallway. He walks past a barricaded area where we see Kane locked up.

Backstage, Coach interviews Christian who talks about his win a few minutes earelier. After Christian leaves, Stone Cold comes by and announces that next week Coachman will have to wrestle Jerry Lawler.

Shane McMahon vs. Chris Jericho

Shane and Jericho start brawling right away with Shane hitting a bodydrop but Jericho shakes it off and hits some chops and a reverse elbow. Jericho then pounds away on Shane's back and kicks him in the face after an unsuccessful back bodydrop. The match heads outside where Shane gains the upper hand with punches before laying Jericho across the announce table. As he climbs to the top of the ropes, pyros explode and Kane's music hits. Shane stares towards the back but Kane doesn't come out so Jericho levels him from behind and chucks McMahon to the outside.

We come back to see Jericho chopping away on Shane in the corner. They go back and forth until Jericho shoves the ref into Shane who was heading to the top. Jericho follows that up with a superplex and Kane's music hits again but this time, Kane really does come out. Kane heads straight for Shane-O and chokeslams him before leaving through the crowd. Shane eventually gets up and chases after Kane but as he goes through the doors in the back, Kane seems to have disappeared.
Shane searches for Kane and ends up outside near the parking lot but can't find him. From behind Kane hurls himself at Shane and then begins to assault him. He drags him up ontop of a dumpster and throws him against a concrete wall before uncovering several containers of gasoline. Kane pous all the gas into the dumpster and then takes out a lighter and sets it all on fire. Kane finally picks up Shane and tries to bodyslam him in but Shane counters it and instead kicks Kane into the fire! Shane then tells Kane to burn in hell, you son of a bitch as the show ends.
