WWE RAW opened up with footage from last Monday night when Chris Benoit faced Triple H in the 60 minute Ironman match with the World Heavyweight Title on the line. In a match that went back and fourth and wound up tied at one point, Evolution attempted to assist Triple H in getting the win but Eugene hit the ring and helped his friend Chris Benoit in dismantling Evolution and it was a chair shot from Eugene to Triple H that allowed Chris Benoit to cover Triple H for the three count to walk out of RAW still the World Heavyweight Champion!
In ring promo: As the RAW opening video started, we heard Triple H`s voice say "Enough, enough, I`m stopping the show down." With that, Triple H angrily walked out to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd in attendance. The crowd chanted "you tapped out, you tapped out!" and Triple H said that last week, he was supposed to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the ninth time. Something few men ever have or ever will do. Triple H wrestled Chris Benoit in this ring for 60 minutes. Again, something few men in the world could even do. Triple H fought until he needed an IV to replace what he had lost. Triple H scratched, he claws, he fought his heart out, he fought his soul out and he fought as if his life depended on it because it did. Because this is Triple H`s life; that Championship is Triple H`s life! And it was taken away from him; it was all taken away from him by a moron. By a dolt, by an idiot, by a simpleton. He took it from Triple H; it was taken from him by a man that cannot even comprehend what he has done to Triple H and that is Eugene. A man who cannot even comprehend what Triple H is about to do to him. Triple H then said that it is time for him to make Eugene understand. Triple H is not leaving this ring until Eugene comes down here and he pays that price. Triple H yelled Eugene`s name in the microphone, telling him to get out here now.
Instead, William Regal came out and said that someone has lost their temper, haven`t they? Regal said that he hates to inform Triple H but Eugene is not here this week. Do you honestly think Regal would lead that man to slaughter? What kind of a man do you think would let Eugene into the building last week? Rather perplexing question, isn`t it? What kind of a diabolical villain do you think would tell Eugene to get involved in Triple H`s match? It was William Regal! You see, Regal and Triple H know each other very well indeed, don`t they? 11 years ago, he and Triple H were a tag team in WCW. In fact, Regal was Triple H`s mentor. What can he say, people like them are born naughty, which is why they gravitated towards each other. And if Triple H would have used and abused anybody else except for that poor boy Eugene, he would have applauded him. But for a clever man like Triple H, it was very foolish to take advantage of a disadvantaged boy because now you have made an enemy out of William Regal. And if you want to fight, look no bloody further because William Regal will change into his ring attire and battle with Triple H with every ounce of boiling venom that runs through his veins! Triple H yelled at William Regal from the ring and Regal stepped back into the locker room with a smile on his face and it appears that later tonight, we will witness William Regal against Triple H!
Backstage: The 9 remaining RAW Divas were shown backstage and next, one of these beautiful contestants will be voted right off of RAW! After the commercial break, The Coach said that you are looking at the 9 remaining gorgeous RAW Diva contestants. Just who will be eliminated here tonight? The Coach told the ladies that he has in his hand the envelope with the name of the individual who will be eliminated right now. The Coach walked behind the ladies and stopped behind Tracie and then he walked over to Camille and told her that he`s sorry, she is eliminated. Coach told the ladies to gather around because it`s time for their assignment tonight. Tonight will be the Diva Contestant Campaign Competition. Since it`s an election year, each one of them will be given 20 seconds to tell the audience why they should vote for them. They can wear whatever they want and say and do whatever they want. The Coach wished them good luck and later tonight, it will be the Diva Debate.
Non Title Match
Rhyno and Tajiri vs. La Resistance (c)
Rhyno`s music hit in the arena and he and Tajiri stormed to the ring and this is a tag team contest with Rhyno and Tajiri facing Sylvan Grenier and Rob Conway, collectively known as La Resistance and they are the World Tag Team Champions but this is a non title match up.
As La Resistance waved their flags on the outside of the ring, Tajiri and Rhyno attacked them and Tajiri rolled Sylvan Grenier into the ring and stomped away on him and Sylvan rolled out of the ring to get out of dodge but Tajiri hit him with a baseball slide to send him into the security wall as Rob Conway and Rhyno got in the ring to legally start it off.
Rhyno gave Rob Conway a body slam and then Rhyno put Rob in a camel clutch and Tajiri gave Rob a drop kick to the face and then Rob Conway rolled out of the ring. Rhyno and Tajiri then gave Sylvan Grenier a double team flap jack to show good double team work against the Tag Team Champions.
Sylvan Grenier whipped Tajiri into the ropes and Tajiri came back with the springboard elbow as Rob Conway rolled into the ring. Rhyno went for the Gore on Grenier but Grenier hopped over him and Rhyno hit Rob Conway with it.
Tajiri then rolled Sylvan Grenier up and covered him for the three count to pick up the win!
Winners - Tajiri and Rhyno
The Aftermath: Rhyno and Tajiri celebrated their win together and you gotta believe that with a win over the World Tag Team Champions that they`re due for a shot at the titles against La Resistance somewhere down the line.
Tonight on RAW: It is official; William Regal and Triple H will go at it in a one on one match tonight on RAW as confirmed by Jim Ross.
Summer Slam 2004: In just two weeks at Summer Slam, we will see Randy Orton face Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Title in the main event. Todd Grisham was shown standing by backstage with Randy Orton and Todd started to ask Randy something but Randy cut him off, asking Todd a question of his own; do you believe in destiny? Todd started to answer it and Randy said that he does. He believes the reason he lost the Intercontinental Championship last month to Edge is because he is destined to become the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history. Randy said that he knows what you`re thinking; Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock for the WWE Championship at Summer Slam in 2002 at the young age of 25 but this year at Summer Slam, Randy Orton will be 24. And just think, Randy will have accomplished more at the age of 24 than most people accomplish in their entire life. Now Chris Benoit is the World Champion. He is the toughest and he is the best... right now. But you see, at Summer Slam this year, Chris Benoit is going to be like Mick Foley, Harley Race, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin. They`re all the same, that whole list; they`ve all been laid down by the legend killer. They`ve all been killed off by the hands of the legend killer and the next and the youngest World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton.
Backstage: Lita and Stacy Keibler were shown backstage discussing something when Matt Hardy knocked on the door and entered the room. Matt asked Stacy if she minds if he and Lita have a chance to speak? Stacy got up, saying that her match is next anyway. Lita asked Matt what`s up and Matt said a couple weeks ago, she asked him to make a decision and he wants her to know that he`s made that decision and he wants to be with her. He wants to be with her more than anything else in this world. And he wants himself, Lita and the baby to be together. He wants to be a family and he just wants to do it, he wants to get married. Matt said that he doesn`t care how they do it, he just wants to get married and he wants Lita to know that there is nothing he wants more than to be with her. Lita smiled and said that he just made her the happiest... Matt grabbed Lita by the cheeks and started kissing her and Lita had a huge smile on her face.
Tyson Tomko vs. Rosey
The music of Tyson Tomko hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring along with Trish Stratus, the Women`s Champion and this is a one on one match with Tyson Tomko facing Rosey, who was accompanied to the ring by Stacy Keibler!
Tyson Tomko and Rosey locked it up in the center of the ring and Tyson put Rosey in a side headlock and wrenched away on it until Rosey whipped Tomko off the ropes and Tomko came back and ran right into Rosey and fell right down to the mat as if he just ran into a brick wall.
Tyson went to whip Rosey off the ropes but Rosey blocked it and pulled Tomko to launch him right out of the ring. Tomko quickly got back in the ring but Rosey clotheslined him right back out of the ring. Rosey posed in the ring and Stacy stretched her leg over her head to pose along with Rosey.
Tomko whipped Rosey into the corner and then he charged at Rosey but Rosey knocked Tomko down with a big boot and then he hopped up to the second rope and jumped off with a leg drop on Tyson Tomko and after he did that, Stacy Keibler did a cartwheel on the outside of the ring.
Rosey gave Tomko a big body slam and then he went off the ropes and hit Tomko with an RVD-like leg drop and then he pinned him for a two count.
Rosey planted Tyson Tomko with a spinebuster and then he went to the second rope but Trish hopped to the ring apron to distract Rosey and when he turned around, he walked into a big boot by Tyson Tomko and then a pin for the three count by Tomko to get the win.

The Aftermath: Trish Stratus left with Tyson Tomko as Stacy Keibler looked disappointed on the outside of the ring.
The Highlight Reel: Chris Jericho`s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for another edition of the Highlight Reel and this week, his guest will be Edge.
The fans cheered for Chris and Chris said "Wow, this is the Highlight Reel, yeah!" Chris said that they are going to get down to business because tonight, his guest requested to be on the Highlight Reel and he is one of his tag team partners in this six man extravaganza tonight and the current Intercontinental Champion, ladies and gentlemen and Jericholics of all ages, this is Edge!
Edge`s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring with the Intercontinental Title over his shoulder. Chris extended his hand to Edge as he got in the ring and Edge looked at him and then shook his hand. Chris said he knows Edge requested to be out here and he`s glad that he did because on the way to the ring, Chris received some late breaking news that involves Edge. He found out that at Summer Slam, he is going to be defending the Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat Match. Oh yeah, the match is going to be Edge vs. Batista vs. Y2J! Edge did not have a smile on his face as Chris pimped the Y2J product. Chris said that Edge doesn`t look too thrilled about that match or even to be out here at all, which is why maybe Edge came out here to talk about the Battle Royal that Chris Jericho eliminated him from. It`s nothing personal, the rules state that it`s every man for himself and Chris was doing what he had to do to win. Edge said that`s true and maybe he was being a little bit naive because they eliminated five guys together. And it came down to Edge, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton. But he couldn`t put that big ego aside, could he? He has that big old head of his and he couldn`t put it aside, could he? So instead of Edge and Jericho, Jericho eliminated Edge. So now it`s neither of them, it`s Randy Orton wrestling for the World Title at Summer Slam. Chris said that he didn`t want Randy Orton to win that match either but let`s look at the facts; Edge wound up on the ring apron and Chris Jericho was faced with a choice. Either make sure that he gets back into the ring or make sure that he doesn`t. He chose option B and made sure he didn`t come back into the ring because Chris dumped his ass to the floor. And Chris knows that if Edge would have had the chance, he would have done the exact same thing. Edge said that Chris is probably right, he probably would have but because of Jericho`s decision, he had to go to the back and watch Randy Orton eliminate Chris from the battle royal. But that brought another thing to mind; Edge hasn`t seen Chris Jericho dumped that badly since Trish Stratus. Chris paused and said that he sees where Edge is going. He sees the real Edge. His ring song poses the question; you think you know me. Well Chris thinks he does know Edge. He knows him just fine, perfectly in fact. And he knows that in two weeks at Summer Slam, he is going to be the ass clown that loses the Intercontinental Championship to Chris Jericho. Chris asked Edge what he thinks about that? Chris Jericho and Edge then stood in the ring and exchanged words and Edge turned around and Chris tapped him on the shoulder and then Edge laid into Chris Jericho with some hard right hands until Chris fought back. Chris backed Edge into the corner and gave him a shot and then he made the mistake of stepping back as Edge fired out of the corner with a spear to send Chris down to the mat. Edge then started tossing things around in the ring and then he got out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair as the crowd booed Edge. Edge took a look at the steel chair and decided not to use it and he tossed it down and the crowd booed Edge even more. Edge then helped Chris Jericho up off the mat and Chris laid into Edge with a hard right hand to send him down to the mat. The crowd heavily chanted "Y2J, Y2J" and then Chris got out of the ring and left and then the crowd booed Edge and none the less, Chris Jericho, Edge and Chris Benoit will team up against Evolution`s Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista!
William Regal vs. Triple H
Triple H`s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one contest against William Regal in a match that was made earlier tonight after Regal issued the challenge to the Game.
As Triple H made his way down the ramp, William Regal attacked him from behind and he gave him some shots to the back of the neck and then he slammed Triple H into the RAW set. Regal then laid into Triple H with some hard right hands and then he slammed him into the RAW set once again and the two battled over to the RAW announce table where Ross and Lawler got up out of their seats. Regal slammed Triple H`s head into the announce table and then Triple H got back up the stage and Regal kicked him right down the ramp towards the ring. William Regal slammed Triple H into the steel ring steps and then he gave Triple H some knee bashes to the head and then rolled him into the ring.
Once Regal got in the ring, the referee sounded for the bell to officially start the match.
Triple H nailed William Regal with a hard right hand to send Regal crashing down to the mat and the referee called for the bell to end the match in a disqualification as he discovered a pair of brass knuckles on the ring mat.

The Aftermath: The camera got a shot of William Regal and his head was bleeding and Triple H got out of the ring and grabbed a sledgehammer and slammed it into the steel steps two times to send a huge crash sounding throughout the arena. Triple H then went to hit Regal with the sledgehammer but Regal gave Triple H a shot to the groin to send him down to the mat and then Regal grabbed the brass knuckles and went to hit Triple H but Triple H nailed Regal with the sledgehammer to send him crashing down to the mat, causing blood to literally pour out of the head of William Regal. Triple H nailed Regal in the spine with the sledgehammer and then he turned Regal over and mounted him, giving him a number of right hands. A number of WWE officials came out to the ring in an attempt to break it up and Triple H continued to hammer on William Regal, giving him a low blow with the sledgehammer. Triple H then went off the ropes and came back with another sledgehammer shot to the head to leave Regal motionless. The WWE officials checked on William Regal as he showed no movements at all and they did their best to restrain Triple H from doing any further damage. Trainers and EMTs came out to the ring and they put William Regal on a stretcher as Triple H taunted the crowd to get booed. The crowd chanted "you tapped out, you tapped out!" as Triple H gloated over what he did to Eugene`s friend William Regal.
William Regal was taken out of the ring on the stretcher and Triple H got out of the ring and started to leave but he came back and jammed the hammer into Regal`s throat and told Regal to tell Eugene that this is what he has coming to him and to tell him that there isn`t a damn thing Regal can do now to stop him and there ain`t a damn thing that Eugene can do to stop him. Triple H slapped Regal in the face as he was in a neck brace and then he started to leave but then he came back and flipped the stretcher over as he was strapped in it. Triple H then left and angrily threw the hammer up to the RAW stage and then he spazzed on the stage and then held the hammer up in the air, yelling at Eugene.
Backstage: Triple H was shown cleaning himself up and Eric Bischoff showed up. Eric said that he sees Triple H washing the blood off his hands and at Summer Slam, he wants him to be doing the same thing. Only it won`t be William Regal`s blood he`ll be wiping off, it`ll be Eugene`s. You see, Triple H needs to be rewarded for what he did and that`s why at Summer Slam, it will be Triple H vs. Eugene. Triple H looked into the mirror with an evil grin and he had somewhat of a sadistic look on his face.
WWE RAW Diva Contest: We were taken to the backstage area with The Coach and the 8 remaining WWE RAW Divas and the girls will have 20 seconds to tell you why they want you to vote for them. Each of the girls gave their reasons individually and they were given 20 seconds. And now it`s time to think about your vote and later tonight, you will see the Divas in their bikinis, live on stage.
Backstage: Lita was shown in the backstage area and Kane was with her and he grabbed her by the throat. Kane said that they are going to talk. Lita threatened Kane and Kane asked her what she`s going to do? Scream? That`s exactly what he wants because when Matt walks through that door, he is going to destroy him. By the way, even if he doesn`t get to Matt tonight, he will get him at Summer Slam because Eric Bischoff just made that match; Matt Hardy vs. Kane. Lita said good because he beat Kane before and he`s going to beat him again. Kane asked Lita if she`s sure about that? Lita said that she is and Kane told Lita that she`s not even sure who`s baby she`s carrying. So how can she be sure that Matt is going to beat him? Lita said because he`s twice the man Kane will ever be. Kane said if she`s so positive about that, let`s raise the stakes at Summer Slam. Let`s say that she will marry the winner. What`s the matter; she`s not so confident now is she? Kane told Lita that this is going to end at Summer Slam one way or another. Lita said that she wants this over more than Kane does. Matt Hardy beat Kane before and he will beat him again. Lita told Kane that he`s on because he will marry Matt after Summer Slam and all of this will be behind them. Kane laughed, saying that she is going to get married all right; she is going to get married to Kane. Kane left but came back, saying that it`s a pity that she can`t wear white on their wedding. Lita looked at Kane and called him a bastard and then slapped him across the face and left but Kane stood there and laughed.
Kane vs. Maven
Kane`s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a singles match against Maven.
Kane went for a clothesline on Maven but Maven ducked it and then ducked another one. Maven hit Kane with a heel kick and then a drop kick and then another drop kick to send Kane through the middle rope to the arena floor. Maven then went for a tope on Kane but came short and Kane kicked Maven in the shoulder on the way down to the arena floor.
Kane lifted Maven up and carried him around the ring and then planted him with a sidewalk slam. Maven crawled to the corner in an attempt to get up but Kane gave him a shot to the back and then Kane whipped Maven into the corner and Maven went for a boot but Kane blocked it.
Kane planted Maven with a devastating choke slam and then he pinned Maven for the three count to get the win.
Winner - Kane
The Aftermath: Kane intimidated the referee and then he grabbed a microphone and he told Lita that he hopes she saw this because this is exactly what he is going to do to Matt at Summer Slam. It will be the first ever "Till Death Do Us Part Match."

With that, he brought out the Divas and you can head on over to WWE.com for information on voting and photos of the girls. The girls all came out in their bikinis, giving the fans a chance to see their goods.
Six Man Tag Team Match
Edge, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit vs. Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton
Evolution`s music hit in the arena and Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista made their way out to the ring for this six man tag team match against Chris Jericho, Edge and Chris Benoit and at Summer Slam, Randy Orton will face Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship!
Edge flew right by Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho at the bottom of the ramp and he got right in the ring and got it on with Randy Orton. Edge laid into Randy with some right hands and then he took his jacket off and choked away on Randy Orton with it. Edge backed Randy into the corner and stomped away on him and then whipped him to the other side of the ring and gave him a hard clothesline in the corner.
Ric Flair put Chris Benoit in the figure four leg lock and Chris struggled to get out of it but was in too much pain as Flair applied the pressure. Benoit fought to turn the figure four over to put the pressure on Flair`s legs and then Batista got in the ring and drove his elbow right into the spine of the World`s Heavyweight Champion.
Batista went for a power slam on Chris Jericho but Chris got out of it and took Batista down with a chop block. Chris then went for the Walls of Jericho on Batista but Batista powered out of it. Chris then gave Batista a drop toe hold into the middle rope and then he ran off the ropes and jumped on Batista`s back. Chris then gave Batista a running bulldog and then he hit him with the lionsault and then covered him for a two count as Ric Flair and Randy Orton got in the ring to break it up. Edge and Chris Benoit then got in the ring and they cleared the ring of Evolution and stood tall as the show went to a commercial break.
Randy Orton gave Chris Jericho his modified neck / back breaker and then he quickly made the tag to Ric Flair who got in the ring and whaled away on Y2J with a series of chops. Flair went for the figure four leg lock on Chris Jericho but Chris escaped it and then went for the Walls of Jericho but Flair raked the eyes of Chris Jericho and Chris fell back towards his corner and made the tag to Chris Benoit. Benoit got in the ring and laid into Flair with a number of hard knife edge chops and then he whipped Flair to the corner and Flair flipped over the turnbuckle onto the ring apron and then Benoit knocked him down to the arena floor.
Chris Benoit went for the Crippler Crossface on Batista but he couldn`t fully apply it and then Randy Orton got in the ring and nailed Benoit to break it up.
Chris later applied the Walls of Jericho on Ric Flair and Batista got in the ring and Chris broke the hold and kicked Batista in the gut and then knocked him into the ropes with a drop kick. Chris then nailed Randy with a springboard drop kick to send him to the arena floor and then he walked into a spinebuster by Batista. Ric Flair rolled over and made the tag to Batista and Batista got in the ring and pinned Chris Jericho but only got a two count.
Batista gave Chris Jericho a running power slam and Randy Orton came in the ring off the tag and went off the ropes and hit Chris with a running knee drop and then he hammered away on Jericho and put him in a headlock on the mat and wrenched away on the head and neck of Y2J. Chris fought out of the headlock and then he took Randy down to the mat with a sleeper hold slam and then Randy quickly made the tag to Batista.
Chris Benoit gave Randy Orton a series of German suplexes and then he signaled for the flying headbutt and Benoit went for the top rope and came off with the diving headbutt and then he covered Randy Orton but only got a two count as Ric Flair got in the ring and broke up the pin. Edge then speared Flair down to the mat and to the outside of the ring and then Batista gave Edge a shot to the back of the head and then Chris got in the ring and attacked Batista. Moments later, Chris went to hit Batista but he hit Edge and then Batista laid Chris out with a clothesline.
Chris Benoit then gave Batista a German suplex and then he gave Orton one as well and then Ric Flair got in the ring and knocked Benoit down with a chop and then he went for the figure four but Chris Benoit countered it and put Ric Flair in the sharpshooter but Randy Orton got in the ring and gave Chris Benoit the RKO and then covered him for the three count to get the win!
Winners - Evolution
Randy Orton celebrated his big win over Chris Benoit in the ring as the show went off the air.
