In the arena, Lilian Garcia took the microphone and said "Please welcome..." and she said nothing further and the former World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H made his way out to the ring with his arm in a sling and a bandage on his forehead and that is a result of what went down last night at Wrestlemania in the Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship!
Triple H got in the ring and he took the mic as the crowd was all over Triple H, chanting "you tapped out, you tapped out!" An infuriated Triple H took the microphone and as he was ready to speak, the fans very heavily chanted "Benoit, Benoit!" Triple H asked the fans if they think one match makes someone the best? The fans cheered and Triple H said is that what you think? You think one match makes a man the best. You think putting a belt around your waist one time means that you're the best? The fans cheered and Triple H said that he's got news for everyone; it doesn't mean crap! What makes you the best is coming to this ring and defending a title, night after night, month after month, year after year; that's what makes you the best! And that's what Triple H has done, he's beaten them all. Not one time, not one match; every single night. And that's why this morning... The fans chanted "you tapped out" and Triple H said you're right, he tapped out. Does that make the fans happy? The fans roared in favor of Triple H tapping out and Triple H exploded. Triple H said that it was two on one, not one on one. It took two men to beat Triple H; two, not one.
Triple H said that he has beaten them all and that's why this morning when he got up, he looked at himself in the mirror and he still knew without a shadow of a doubt that he is the best at what he does and that he is the greatest professional wrestler alive today. And whether you like it or not, Chris Benoit thinks he won? He thinks he's beaten Triple H? He's wrong. Because now the target is on Chris Benoit's chest. Everybody is gunning for him and you see this sling right here? Chris Benoit almost ripped Triple H's arm off last night but sooner or later, this sling is going to come off. Sooner or later, Triple H is going to be 100% and then it's not going to be two on one. It's going to be one on one, man to man. And here's what happens then...
Chris Benoit's music hit in the arena and he made his way out as the new World Heavyweight Champion!
Chris Benoit got in the ring and he held the World Heavyweight Title right in Triple H's face and the fans started chanting "you tapped out, you tapped out" to further anger Triple H. Chris Benoit said he was back there listening to Triple H run his mouth, going on and on with his pissing and moaning and finally, Chris Benoit just had enough. You say it takes more than one match to become the best? Well last night at Wrestlemania XX in Madison Square Garden, Chris Benoit beat Shawn Michaels and Triple H and he made Triple H tap out and Chris Benoit became the best.
A frustrated Triple H tossed his microphone down to the mat and Chris Benoit said that you talk about consistency, week after week, month after month, year after year, well when Triple H's arm gets better and he thinks he's able to get back in the ring with Chris Benoit, when he thinks he's man enough, do that. Because week after week, month after month and year after year from here on in, Chris Benoit is going to kick Triple H's ass and make him tap and tap and tap and tap and tap!
Triple H and Chris Benoit fought over the microphone and Triple H told Chris Benoit not on his best damn day can he make him tap night after night. Chris responded by saying come to think of it, today isn't his best damn day. Chris Benoit then laid into Triple H with a hard right hand with the microphone in his hand and then Chris Benoit kicked away on the separated shoulder of the Game. Evolution made their way out to the ringside area to support Triple H but they were reluctant to get in the ring with Chris Benoit. Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista all surrounded the ring and they crept to get in the ring and Shawn Michaels stormed to the ring with a steel chair in hand and he fended off the four members of Evolution to send them scattering around the ring. Batista tried to get into the ring but Shawn Michaels nailed him with a chair shot to keep him out of the ring.
Eric Bischoff's music hit in the arena and he made his way out and he said that he just received a phone call from Mr. McMahon and he made it very clear to Bischoff that he isn't to sign a World Title match tonight or anytime in the near future. He also said that he would explain it to everyone as soon as he gets to the building. But what Eric Bischoff can do is make the main event. So tonight, since Evolution did such a fantastic job of beating The Rock and Sock Connection last night at Wrestlemania XX, tonight, Batista, Randy Orton and Ric Flair will face the team of Shawn Michaels and the new World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Benoit in a Handicap Match!
Shawn Michaels was shown walking through the backstage area and The Coach caught up with him and asked why he saved Chris Benoit from Evolution? Shawn said that he's protecting his investment. A healthy Chris Benoit means that he's going to get a World Title match. Chris Benoit hasn't beaten Shawn Michaels yet and he'll be damned if Triple H gets that shot. Tonight, Shawn is going to protect his investment and he's going to make sure when it's over with that Chris Benoit will have to give him a World Title match. And if he has to, he'll take Triple H out of contention for good.
Molly Holly and Jazz vs. Victoria and Lita
Victoria's music hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring as the WWE Women's Champion and last night at Wrestlemania, Molly Holly got her head shaved bald when she lost the Women's Title match against Victoria! This is a tag team contest with the Women's Champion Victoria teaming up with Lita against Jazz, who was accompanied to the ring by Theodore Long and her tag team partner, Molly Holly, who came out to the ring wearing a wig!
Molly got right in the ring and went right after Victoria and Lita went at it with Jazz. Molly rubbed Victoria's face in the mat and then slammed her down to the mat a couple times and then rolled her over and pinned her for a one count.
Victoria came off the top rope with a moonsault on Jazz and she pinned her for a two count as Molly got in the ring and broke up the pin. The fans chanted "Molly's bald" to get under the skin and wig of Molly Holly.
Lita pulled off the wig of Molly Holly and the crowd burst into laughter as an embarrassed Molly Holly ran to the backstage area.
Lita planted Jazz with a DDT and then she pinned her for the three count to pick up the win for her team.

Chris Jericho was shown walking through the backstage area and Todd Grisham caught up with him and asked him how he felt about losing to Christian at Wrestlemania XX? Chris ignored him and Todd asked him about Trish Stratus humiliating him last night? An angered Chris Jericho snarled at Todd Grisham and then he went on his way.
Matt Hardy vs. Chris Jericho
Matt Hardy's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one contest against Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho angrily got in the ring and Matt Hardy bailed out of the ring to try to get some distance between himself and Jericho. Matt eventually got back in the ring and Chris Jericho locked it right up with Matt Hardy and he shoved Matt into the corner and hammered away on him with a number of right hands.
Chris Jericho unloaded on Matt Hardy as if he were Christian and he slammed him into the security wall on the outside of the ring and choked away on him with some cables and the referee was forced to call for the bell to end the match in a disqualification.

Chris Jericho angrily left the ringside area and he was fuming as he headed back to the backstage area.
During the break: A distraught Chris Jericho took his bags and got in his car and left the arena.
Randy Orton was shown standing in the backstage area and he said yesterday at Wrestlemania XX, he beat Mick Foley with an RKO. He proved to the entire world that he is better than Mick Foley. But he doesn't think Mick's family or Mick quite believes that, so what he is going to do is challenge Mick to a one on one match with Evolution banned from ringside. That way, he can prove to Mick and his family that he's nothing but a loser. And how's it going to feel when his little son grows up not with his father as a role model but idolizing Randy Orton?
All three members of La Resistance (Conway, Dupree and Grenier) were shown walking through the backstage area and Rene Dupree introduced the newest member of La Resistance, their poodle named Fifi! Stone Cold Steve Austin showed up and got in the face of the dog and Rene asked him if there's a problem? Austin said that you're damn right there is. He came from Wrestlemania and now he has the La Resistance dog crapping on the floor. Rene said that he didn't, but Stone Cold claimed he walked in it, so he wrote a ticket to the French bitch, Rene Dupree! Rene took exception to that, saying that they're not going to stand for this and Austin asked him what he's going to do about it? Rene Dupree, Rob Conway and Sylvan Grenier all backed off as Stone Cold Steve Austin was ready for a fight.
Kane vs. Val Venis
In the arena, the music of Val Venis hit and he made his way out to the ring and he brought a lovely lady into the ring with him. Val took the mic and he said that tonight, he has chosen just one of the many gorgeous Garden State Hotties to make all her dreams come true! Because she is going to have the opportunity to remove the towel of the Big Valbowski. The woman then felt up Val Venis and then she removed his towel from around his waist. Val said that the woman is now officially the luckiest woman in America! Val thanked the woman and she said that now that he's given her something of his, she wants to give him something of hers. The woman started to take her shirt off but Kane's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring.
Kane got right in the ring and knocked Val Venis down to the mat with a big boot and then he whipped Val into the corner and nailed him with a vicious clothesline.
Kane gave Val Venis a sidewalk slam and then he went to the top rope and came off with a clothesline to knock Val down to the mat.
Kane made short work of Val Venis as he planted him with a choke slam and then pinned him for the three count as the fans chanted for the Undertaker.

Miss Jackie vs. Stacy Keibler
Miss Jackie's music hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring for a one on one contest against Stacy Keibler and after last night at Wrestlemania, it was apparent that Jackie and Stacy couldn't get along in their Playboy Evening Gown Match against Torrie Wilson and Sable, which is why they are facing each other in a one on one match here tonight.
Stacy Keibler slowly got in the ring by bending over in the middle of the ropes for the fans and Miss Jackie shoved Stacy Keibler down to the outside of the ring and then she got out of the ring and rolled Stacy into the ring and pinned her for a two count.

As Miss Jackie had Stacy Keibler in a reverse choke on the mat, Vince McMahon's music hit and he made his way out to the ring and Stacy, Jackie and the referee scattered from the ring.
Vince apologized for the intrusion, but he has a little something on his mind that he'd like to get off. You see, he believes that things need to be changed around here. This year's theme for Wrestlemania is where it all begins again. He's here tonight to tell us that is not just a theme, that's a promise to everyone because it will begin again. He thinks things need to be shaken up around here because it's time to shake them up. Vince thinks certain general managers have become too protective of their friends, certain talent who kiss their ass, protective of certain groups like Evolution. It is time to give each and every one of you what you want. They want new Superstars, new matches and new rivalries and by God, they're going to get them. It's time for certain Smackdown! Superstars to go to RAW and certain RAW Superstars to go to Smackdown!. What he's saying is that it's time for one week from tonight for each and every one of the Smackdown! Superstars to come to RAW. And there's one reason for that. By God next week, they're going to have themselves a good old fashioned lottery and he doesn't give a damn if your name is Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, it doesn't matter because your name is going to go into the lottery with no exceptions because by God, it's time to give the fans what they want. It's time for a new RAW and time for a new Smackdown! and by God, it's time for a new WWE! Vince McMahon thanked the fans and they heavily cheered in the arena!
Johnny Spade was shown backstage and Eric Bischoff showed up and they seemed confused as to what's going on. Evolution entered the room and Triple H tried to say that it's not Evolution, right? They're not splitting up Evolution. Triple H told Bischoff, as God is his witness; he is not leaving this show until he is the World Heavyweight Champion. Now what is the deal? Eric Bischoff said that Triple H heard what Bischoff heard. According to Mr. McMahon, everyone is up for grabs including Evolution.
World Tag Team Championship Match
The Dudley Boyz vs. Booker T and Rob Van Dam (c)
The music of the Dudley Boyz hit in the arena and they made their way out to the ring as the challengers for the World Tag Team Championship against Booker T and Rob Van Dam!
Bubba Ray Dudley started the match off in the ring against Booker T and Bubba extended his hand to Booker to shake and Booker refused to shake it and the two locked it up in the center of the ring and Booker backed Bubba Ray into the corner where the referee called for a break.
Bubba Ray Dudley covered Booker T and Rob Van Dam, who got the blind tag, came off the top rope with a kick to Bubba's head to break up the illegal pin.
D-Von knocked Rob Van Dam down from the ring apron and then he gave Booker T a neck breaker and a pin for a two count as Booker was able to kick out.
Booker T kicked D-Von in the gut and then he went for the scissors kick but Bubba got in the ring and the Dudleys planted Booker with the 3D and then D-Von pinned Booker for a two count as RVD got in the ring and broke up the pin.
RVD then knocked both Bubba and D-Von down to the mat and then he went to his corner and got the tag and got back in the ring and pinned D-Von for a two count.
Rob Van Dam went to the second rope and D-Von stopped him from going anywhere and then D-Von gave RVD a neck breaker from the second rope and he rolled right out of the ring in pain as RAW cut to a commercial break.
Bubba Ray Dudley gave Rob Van Dam a hip toss into a half nelson suplex right on his head and then he pinned RVD but only got a two count as RVD was somehow able to kick out of the pin.
Bubba Ray Dudley continued to work on the neck of Rob Van Dam by giving him a neck breaker and then he tried to pin RVD but RVD's feet were on the ropes and Booker T got in the ring to pull Bubba Ray back to calm him down a bit. It should be noted that Rob Van Dam started bleeding from the mouth at this point.
Booker T gave D-Von Dudley a spinebuster and then he did the spinaroonie and then he knocked Bubba Ray down with a side kick and then he covered him but only got a two count. Booker T hit Bubba Ray with the scissors kick and then RVD went to the top rope and came off with the five star frog splash and then Booker T covered Bubba Ray but only got a two count as D-Von Dudley broke up the pin.
Rob Van Dam gave D-Von Dudley a hurricanrana to take him to the outside of the ring and that left Booker T and Bubba Dudley in the ring and the two exchanged blows and Bubba went for the Bubba Bomb but Booker fought out of it. Booker planted Bubba with the Book End and then he covered Bubba for the three count to pick up the win and retain the Tag Team Titles!

Spike Dudley's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and as he made his way out, Christian and Trish Stratus made their way out and Christian attacked Spike Dudley from behind and then he whipped him into the ring apron and then Trish Stratus laid into Spike Dudley with a hard kick to the head. Christian then gave Spike Dudley the Unprettier on the arena floor and then Christian pinned Spike Dudley and Trish Stratus served as the referee and counted a three count in favor of Christian. Trish Stratus and Christian then got in the ring together and Christian took the mic, apologizing to Spike, saying that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now if he can have everyone's attention, he's going to ask that everyone remains silent because the lady has something she wants to get off her chest. Trish Stratus took the mic and said that before you sit there and judge her, let's not forget that it was Chris Jericho who made a bet to sleep with her for...
Well New Jersey strikes again. Cut right to a commercial break in the middle of a promo. Local breaks rock.
When we come back, Christian had the mic and he said that he was hoping for a little respect around here, considering we are in the birthplace to millions of little creepy little bastards New Jersey. Christian said they are creepy and they know it and Christian isn't one of them because he has the girl. And Christian hopes that Jericho learns something from this, he tried to tell Chris that he was getting soft, but he wouldn't listen. Trish doesn't want some lovesick puppy following her around giving her roses. No, she wants someone like Christian, who is a little rough and dirty. She wants a man and that's something Chris Jericho should try being sometime because right now, Chris Jericho can't get no Stratusfaction! Christian and Trish Stratus then started kissing in the center of the ring and the fans heavily booed the two as they pressed up against each other.
La Resistance was shown in the backstage area and they were complaining about how they should be World Tag Team Champions because they just got back together and now next week, they could split up due to the draft? Rob Conway tried to get him Rene Dupree to calm down and Rene said that he can't because Stone Cold insulted him, his culture and tonight, he's going to go to the ring and he's going to represent their country and show everyone what La Resistance is all about. Rene left and Sylvan Grenier told Rene that if he needs them, they'll be in the back keeping company to Fifi.
La Resistance music hit in the arena and Rene Dupree made his way out to the ring and he got in the ring and took the mic and said that it seems that Stone Cold and the rest of these American rejects have a perception that the French are nothing but cowards and sissies. Well as he raises his French flag, he's living proof that they're the exact opposite. Look at him! So they didn't want to fight in their little war, big deal. Do you think they want to go through a battlefield with a gun to get shot for these American pieces of crap?! Rene started speaking in French and Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring on his ATV and attacked Rene Dupree and beat the living crap out of him in the middle of the ring. As Stone Cold beat the crap out of Rene Dupree, the fans heavily chanted "USA, USA!" Stone Cold pulled Rene Dupree to the center of the ring and gave him the Stone Cold Stunner and then he called for some beers to celebrate the beating of a silly Frenchman!
Handicap Match
Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton, Ric Flair and Batista
The music of Shawn Michaels hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and he is teaming up with Chris Benoit here tonight in a Handicap Match against three members of Evolution and as he said earlier tonight, he is here to protect his investment in Chris Benoit as it's pretty obvious that Shawn Michaels wants a shot at Chris Benoit's newly won World Heavyweight Championship! Triple H accompanied Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair out to the ring and he remained at ringside for this contest.
Shawn Michaels started it off in the ring against Batista and the two locked it up and Batista shoved Michaels down to the mat and Michaels got up and the two locked horns once again and Batista shoved Michaels down to the mat. When Michaels got up to come back for more, Batista laid into him with a hard right hand to send him down to the mat.
As the match was going on, Mick Foley was shown arriving at the arena on the Titantron and Randy Orton saw that and he panicked and Shawn Michaels nailed Randy Orton from behind and the referee took a bump as Orton went sailing down to the mat.
Mick Foley ran out to the ring and he got right in the ring and went right at it with Randy Orton as the referee was down and out. Mick beat up on Randy Orton and he pulled him to the outside of the ring and slammed his head into the steel ring steps and then the two battled through the crowd as Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair remained in the ring going at it.
Shawn Michaels gave Ric Flair a body slam and then he went to the top rope and came off with a flying elbow drop on Ric Flair and then he went to the corner and tuned up for the sweet chin music. Triple H got in the ring and he grabbed Shawn Michaels and planted him with the Pedigree, despite the fact that his shoulder is "dislocated." The fans started chanting "you tapped out" and Ric Flair rolled over and covered Michaels and referee Earl Hebner came out to the ring and counted a two count in favor of Flair.
Batista planted Shawn Michaels with a spinebuster and then he pinned him but only got a two count as Michaels was able to kick out. Batista then put Shawn Michaels in a reverse chin lock on the mat to wear Michaels down but Michaels fought out of it with some shots to the mid section and hard knife edge chops.
Triple H gave Shawn Michaels a cheap shot to the head and then Batista slammed Shawn's head into the turnbuckle several times to bust open the wound Michaels suffered last night at Wrestlemania.
Chris Benoit gave Batista the triple German suplexes and then he went to the top rope for the flying headbutt on Batista and connected with it. Benoit then covered Batista but only got a two count as Batista powered right out of it.
The referee restrained Ric Flair and Triple H got in the ring and went for the Pedigree on Chris Benoit but Shawn Michaels broke it up with the super kick on Triple H. Batista then went for the power bomb on Chris Benoit but Chris Benoit blocked it and went for the sharpshooter on Batista and he locked it in. Flair tried to break it up but Shawn Michaels knocked him down to the mat with a super kick. Batista tried to get to the ropes but he was forced to tap out, giving the win to Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit!

The end of the show saw referee Earl Hebner holding both Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels' arms in the air as Jim Ross speculated as to whether or not Shawn Michaels will ever get a shot at Chris Benoit's World Title after the draft lottery next week on RAW!
