After the RAW introduction video played, a shot of the casket was shown once again in the center of the ring and Kane was shown in the backstage area looking on and he looked at the casket with a look of anger. Kane walked away and it looked as though he may be headed out to the arena.
Kane's music and pyro went off in the arena and Kane angrily walked out towards the ring but slowed down as he neared the casket, not knowing what it represents. When Kane got in the ring, his music stopped playing and the weird Undertaker music started playing once again and Kane backed away from the casket, showing that he is a bit freaked out at the casket in the ring. Kane got close to the casket and brushed some dirt off of it and then he backed off as if he could smell something coming from the coffin. Kane knocked the casket over and an Urn rolled out of the casket and Kane picked it up and looked at it. Kane then grabbed the wheels out from under the casket and tossed the set out of the ring and then he destroyed the casket and tossed it out of the ring to the arena floor. The fans heavily chanted "Taker, Taker!" as Kane grabbed a microphone.
Kane said "An urn? An urn! This is what you send me Undertaker?" Kane continued on, saying that this is the Undertaker's message from beyond? For weeks, he's been sending Kane signs of his return and now this; an empty casket and an urn full of ashes. Is this what Kane has to look forward to? Empty promises? Kane tossed the urn to the outside of the ring and he said that it's going to take more than this to intimidate and beat him at Wrestlemania XX. Kane said that the Undertaker can keep this casket because he's going to need it because his legacy, his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania and his life are all coming to an end. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust; it's back to the grave for the Deadman for good, this time. Kane continued on, saying that it's over and he stated that he is not afraid of the Undertaker!
Having said that, the Undertaker's music hit in the arena and it seemed as if it started storming in the arena and with Kane in the ring, the ring lifted up off the floor and started hovering with Kane in the center of the ring! A video showed up on the Titantron, saying This Sunday, it all begins again! Rest in Peace.
Eight Man Tag Team Match
Garrison Cade, Mark Jindrak & La Resistance vs. Booker T, Rob Van Dam & The Dudley Boyz
Garrison Cade, Mark Jindrak and La Resistance made their way out to the ring for an eight man tag team match against Booker T, Rob Van Dam and the Dudley Boyz and this Sunday night at Wrestlemania, all four teams will be involved in a Fatal Four Way Match for the Tag Team Titles!
Bubba Ray Dudley started the match off in the ring against Rob Conway and the two locked it up and Rob put Bubba in a hammer lock and then he gave him a hard shot to the back and then two left hands to stall Bubba Ray Dudley.
Booker T planted Mark Jindrak with the Book End and then he pinned him but only got a two count as Rene Dupree and Garrison Cade got in the ring to break up the pin. The Dudleys immediately got in the ring and battled with Dupree and Cade to the outside of the ring.
Booker T kicked Mark Jindrak in the mid section and then he went for the scissors kick but Rene Dupree hopped to the ring apron and gave Booker T an elbow to the back of the head and then Mark Jindrak plowed through Booker T with a hard clothesline and then a pin for the three count to get the win!
Winners - La Resistance, Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade
After the match, the teams of Cade and Jindrak and La Resistance got into a bit of a shoving contest and this Sunday night on pay per view, they will all be able to resolve their problems as they face off in a Fatal Four Way Match for the Tag Team Titles!
Backstage: Chris Jericho was shown on the phone with Trish Stratus and Chris found out that she's coming back from physical therapy now and he told her that he's going to beat the hell out of Christian for what he did to her. He'll never forget how he felt when he saw Trish get beat down and Chris was helpless to do anything about it. Christian showed up from behind and Trish said something to Chris that he liked and he started to tell her something but Christian nailed Chris Jericho and then he took his phone and told Trish Stratus that he left her boyfriend in the same position she's used to being in; flat on his back.
During the Break: Christian quickly went through the hallway and left the arena where he had a car waiting for him and he got out of dodge before Chris Jericho was able to recover to get revenge.
In the arena: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were talking about Wrestlemania and a pizza guy showed up and apparently, Jerry Lawler ordered some pizza and the pizza box advertised Wrestlemania XX.
Backstage: Todd Grisham was shown with Booker T and Rob Van Dam and Todd asked Booker if what just happened means they will lose their Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania? Booker said at Madison Square Garden, nothing is going to stop Booker T and Rob Van Dam, now can you dig that, suckaa! Booker T left and Rob Van Dam did his RVD pose for the camera and the crowd said RVD's name as he pointed to himself.
This is your Life Flashback: Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler took us on a flashback to 1999 when Mick Foley presented The Rock with "This is your Life." Later tonight, we will see another "This is your Life" segment, this time with The Rock presenting it to Mick Foley! This is Mick Foley's Life!
The Rock was shown walking through the backstage area and he was pumped up for tonight's This is your Life segment and he stopped in the back and walked into the Hurricane. The Rock said that the Hurricane, as The Rock's biggest nemesis, he's got a lot of nerve to show his face. The Hurricane pointed out that he was victorious and Rock said that Hurricane beat the Scorpion King but standing here tonight is The Rock! Now what? The Hurricane said "along those lines..." and The Rock told him to hold on, listen to the people. The Hurricane said along those lines, he and Rosey went to see a sneak preview of Walking Tall and he must say, it was very good. Hurricane congratulated The Rock on it and Rock thanked him. Rock asked Rosey what he thinks and Rosey had nothing to say. Hurricane said that Rosey went to get some juji fruits, got lost and went to another theater. Rosey said that he saw Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen! Hurricane told The Rock that it's good to have him back. This time, on the side of justice. But this time is different, The Rock reminds Hurricane of something else. The Rock joked with Hurricane and Rosey and Hurricane said that The Rock reminds him of The Coach! The Coach showed up from behind and the two looked very similar. Coach said it's good to see The Rock. He comes back to RAW to sport the Coach look. Well if he works just a little bit harder, he could be an exact double. Rock mocked Coach, telling him to shut up. When did he turn into this? Rock said that he came here to present Mick Foley with This is your Life and it's going to be an amazing night and if you want a sneak preview, this is Coach's life. Rock mocked Coach, kissing Eric Bischoff's ass. Rock then told Hurricane to kick ass and he told Rosey to lay off the juji fruits! As we cut away from The Rock, Jim Ross noted that a Handicap Match is next with Evolution!
Handicap Match
Evolution vs. The Hurricane & Rosey
The music of Evolution hit in the arena and Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair made their way out to the ring and this is a Handicap Match with Evolution against the Hurricane and Rosey and this Sunday night at Wrestlemania, Ric Flair, Batista and Randy Orton will face The Rock and Sock Connection in a three on two handicap match!
The Hurricane and Ric Flair started it off in the ring and the two locked it up and Flair backed the Hurricane into the corner and chopped away on him. Hurricane countered Flair in the corner and whipped him to the other side of the ring and then he gave Ric Flair a high back body drop.
Batista planted the Hurricane with a sit down power bomb to pick up the easy win for his team.
Winners - Evolution
All three members of Evolution triple teamed Rosey to send a message to The Rock and Sock Connection and Batista planted Rosey with a spinebuster. Randy Orton took the mic and said that this is The Rock and Mick's life; two pathetic comebacks that are going to be met with pain and embarrassment this Sunday at Wrestlemania. Randy Orton said that The Rock and Mick Foley used to be the biggest names in this business but now Evolution is. You see, life changes; it's just Evolution and there's no stopping it.
Chris Benoit vs. Matt Hardy
Chris Benoit's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship and this Sunday night, he will face Shawn Michaels and Triple H in a Triple Threat Match for Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship but here tonight, Chris Benoit faces Matt Hardy in a singles contest to warm up for his Wrestlemania bout!
Matt Hardy got in Chris Benoit's face, saying that he's version 1 and Chris Benoit responded with a hard right hand to knock Matt Hardy down to the mat. Chris Benoit then gave Matt Hardy a back suplex, a back breaker and a pin for a one count.
Chris Benoit hooked Matt Hardy and gave him a series of German suplexes and then he took Matt down to the mat with a waist lock and put him right in the Crippler Crossface to pick up the victory.
Winner - Chris Benoit
Chris Benoit remained in the ring and Jim Ross wondered to himself what Chris Benoit is thinking as we go into Wrestlemania and Jerry Lawler told him to quit wondering and go to the ring and ask him. Jim Ross said that he thinks he will do that and he got out of his seat and headed towards the ring as the show cut to a commercial break.
After the commercial break, Jim Ross stood in the ring with Chris Benoit and Ross said that Chris has had a tremendous career but this Sunday, his dreams could come true. He's in the main event at Wrestlemania in Madison Square Garden and he's going to fight for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. What is going through his head as it relates to this Sunday at Wrestlemania? Chris Benoit said its cut and dry; 18 years, his entire career and everything he has ever sacrificed in this ring will all be defined in one evening at Madison Square Garden, Wrestlemania XX. He's going to be walking into the ring with two of the greatest stars in the business today, HBK, Shawn Michaels and the World Champion, Triple H. And Chris Benoit will be stepping out of that ring with the World Title around his waist! Jim Ross said without a doubt, he's never faced two men in one match up...
Before Jim Ross could complete his sentence/question, the music of Shawn Michaels hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as one of the two challengers for the World Heavyweight Title this Sunday night at Wrestlemania! Shawn Michaels stood in front of Chris Benoit and told him that he came out here to let Benoit know that there isn't anybody that respects what Chris Benoit has accomplished in the last 18 years more than Shawn Michaels. And Shawn knows this Sunday at Madison Square Garden, Chris Benoit is looking to fulfill a lifelong dream. Shawn respects and appreciates that but for Shawn Michaels, it's about ending a nearly 10 year grudge with Triple H and unfortunately for Chris Benoit, the way that Shawn is going to do that is by walking out of Wrestlemania XX as the World Heavyweight Champion. Chris Benoit said that there's one thing they both agree to disagree on and that's who's going to be walking out of the Garden with that World Title around their waist. The one thing they do share is they both feel strongly and are both passionate about the fact that Triple H will not be the one walking out of the Garden with the title around his waist. Shawn Michaels then said that he guesses that means good luck.
Shawn extended his hand to Chris Benoit and Benoit hesitated and then shook his hand. Shawn pulled Chris Benoit in close to him and the two stared each other down until Triple H's music hit in the arena and he made his way out as the World Heavyweight Champion! Triple H said that he is so happy for the two of them, that they can come out here and agree on things and shake hands and be all buddy buddy. That's nice. Triple H then said where he stands on this whole thing; he agrees with anybody who thinks this whole thing is a bunch of crap! The fact that he has to defend the World Championship against two men in one night, he also agrees with anybody that thinks it's a bunch of crap that Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit just stood in that ring and made a pact to gang up, basically, no matter what happens between the two of them that Triple H walks out of Wrestlemania without the World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H said that the fans like the fact that he might walk out of Wrestlemania without the Championship? Well get used to disappointment and Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels should get used to disappointment too because the one thing they're failing to realize is that Triple H is the guy that always overcomes the odds. They're failing to realize that Triple H is the guy that takes an opportunity, no matter how small it is, he will twist it and manipulate it until it becomes his advantage. You see, and he doesn't hesitate at all when he says this; Triple H is the best that there is. He is the World Heavyweight Champion and he has beaten them all and you know how he's done it? Because he's always found a way to have an edge. So let him tell everybody what his edge is going to be this Sunday because his edge this Sunday is going to be the one thing that makes Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit as good as they are and that's their egos. You see, because it's Shawn's ego that will make it impossible for Chris Benoit to become World Champion and its Chris Benoit's ego that will make it impossible for Shawn Michaels to become World Champion. Triple H told them to look at each other and look deep inside each other and see the truth. Because Triple H thinks it is the one thing that the three of them can even agree on and that is the fact that this Sunday, Wrestlemania XX, Madison Square Garden with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, their egos will be all the edge he needs!
Mick Foley was shown walking through the backstage area and tonight, The Rock presents him with the "This is your Life" segment. Mick walked by Spike Dudley and they talked about tonight's segment and Mick Foley said that he's excited and honored to be here tonight. He's nervous, too. He's got a few skeletons in the closet, there's no telling what The Rock is going to dig up. He's nervous but excited.
Lita vs. Molly Holly
Lita's music hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring for a one on one contest against Molly Holly. This Sunday night, Molly Holly will get a shot at the Women's Title against Victoria and if Molly Holly loses that match, she will be forced to have her head shaved!
Molly got right in the ring and kicked Lita in the gut and gave her a clubbing blow to the back of the neck. Molly shoved Lita against the ropes and choked her over the middle rope to the count of four by referee Jack Doan.
Lita gave Molly Holly a neck breaker then she pinned Molly but only got a two count. Lita pinned Molly once again but Molly was once again able to kick out.
Lita then went for the twist of fate but Molly countered it and rolled Lita up, using the ropes for the three count to get the win.
Winner: Molly
After the match, Molly Holly attacked Lita and went for her hair and Victoria stormed to the ring and grabbed Molly Holly by the hair and tossed her out of the ring. Victoria then stood in the ring, standing tall as the Women's Champion and at Wrestlemania; she will defend that very title against Molly Holly!
A video package, depicting the history between Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and Stone Cold Steve Austin was shown and as we all know, Brock Lesnar cost Bill Goldberg his shot at winning the Royal Rumble back in January. In response to that, Stone Cold Steve Austin sent Bill Goldberg to No Way Out and at that Smackdown! only pay per view event, Bill Goldberg cost Brock Lesnar the WWE Championship in his match against Eddie Guerrero. From there, Brock Lesnar begged Vince McMahon for a one on one match against Goldberg at Wrestlemania. Vince McMahon started to announce that all hell would break loose in that match and that he had no one to officiate the match but Stone Cold Steve Austin stepped in to be the guest referee at Wrestlemania.
In ring promo: Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring with a beer in hand and he took the mic and said that if you're ready for Wrestlemania XX, give him a hell yeah! The crowd yelled "hell yeah" and Austin said there's nobody more ready than Stone Cold Steve Austin because since he decided to be the referee at Wrestlemania, Bill Goldberg gave him the spear and Brock Lesnar gave him the F5, so he doesn't care about either one of them. He's going to call the match the way he sees fit and if either of them breaks the rules, he's going to take his right hand and serve up some knuckle sandwiches! And a message to Brock Lesnar, he sees fit to come out here and steal his four wheeler; that's fine with Austin because what Austin is going to do is roll his ass into Atlantic City, New Jersey, throw some dice, play some blackjack, drink some alcohol and then he's going to go down to Smackdown! to get back his damn four wheeler! Both of them are going to find out when you mess with Stone Cold Steve Austin, you're messing with the wrong person. Wrestlemania XX, Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg, Stone Cold Steve Austin as the referee, he's going to call it as he sees it. Brock Lesnar, you rest assured that you're going to see Stone Cold on Smackdown! and he dares everyone to stay out of his way because there's not a man's ass he can't whip on Smackdown! and not a man's ass that he can't whip back in that dressing room here tonight and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!
Chris Jericho vs. Steven Richards
Chris Jericho's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one match up against Steven Richards and this Sunday night at Wrestlemania, Chris Jericho meets his former best friend in Christian in a one on one match on pay per view!
Chris Jericho knocked Steven Richards down as he got in the ring and Chris gave him a number of right hands down on the mat. Chris then picked Steven up and gave him a knee lift to send him right back down to the canvas.
Chris Jericho gave Steven Richards a drop toe hold into the middle rope and then Chris went off the ropes and jumped on Steven's back to send his throat into the ropes.
Chris Jericho went for the lionsault but Steven moved out of the way and went for the Stevie-T but Chris Jericho countered it and went for the Walls of Jericho. As Chris went for the Walls, the music of Trish Stratus hit in the arena and Christian made his way out to distract Chris Jericho and Steven Richards rolled Chris Jericho up for the three count to get the win!
Winner- Steven Richards
Christian quickly left the scene and Chris Jericho took out his anger on Steven Richards by sending him to the outside of the ring and beating the living hell out of him. Chris grabbed Steven Richards and gave him a body slam right onto the steel steps.
Backstage: Stacy Keibler and Miss Jackie entered Eric Bischoff's office and they started talking about Wrestlemania and they're excited about being able to get their hands on Torrie and Sable. Jackie said that it's time for them to show the rest of the world who the hottest divas in the world are. As Jackie and Stacy were talking and dancing around, Johnny Blaze entered the room and introduced himself as Johnny Spade and he stressed how important this match is for them and RAW. Johnny said that he's looking forward to working with them and Johnny said that he's an apprentice to Mr. Bischoff. That's what he does. Stacy thanked him and the two left the room. Eric Bischoff finally showed up and Johnny asked Bischoff what he thought? Bischoff said that he did a hell of a job and he was impressed!
The Rock was shown backstage and he was walking through the hallway and the "This is your Life" segment is next!
In ring promo - This is your Life
The Rock's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring to present "This is your Life: Mick Foley!" The fans chanted "Rocky, Rocky!" and The Rock said that he has never said this. In seven years in the WWE, this is the first time he's going to say it; it's a privilege, it's an honor, finally, The Rock has come back to Bridgeport! The Rock said that for the past couple of months, Evolution took something away from Mick Foley, his ability to have fun and smile. But you see, The Rock says that tonight, the people's champ and the people are going to give the smile back.
Mick Foley's music hit and he made his way out to the ring for the "This is your Life" segment as presented by The Rock! The Rock said that he and the people are excited and he knows that Mick won't be truly happy until they whoop their candy asses at Wrestlemania. But that's six days away from now, so The Rock says this; tonight, This is your Life. Mick stood in the ring with a huge smile on his face as confetti started falling from the ceiling of the arena. The fans then chanted "Foley, Foley!" and Mick said that this is something else; he didn't have to go to these lengths. Rock said that he did because he and the fans have love for Foley. So let's start this right now. The Rock wants Mick to take a stroll down memory lane and does he remember this; jumping off the roof onto a mattress and boxes and then wrestling his best friend. The Rock asked Mick if he's insane. Jumping off of roofs? The Rock said that what he's got for him is the woman who owned the house that he jumped off of that night. Yes, Mrs. Dorice Schneider! An old woman then made her way out to the ring and she was helped into the ring and she hugged Mick Foley. Mick said that he has to admit, he thought The Rock was going to whip out an ex girlfriend or something. But this is wonderful, not only did she let the kids play in her backyard, but she let the kids line up for milk, cookies and most of all, some mouth watering pie. The Rock looked at Mick with a look of confusion; let The Rock get this straight, is he actually saying that he ate this woman's pie? Mick said that he did, it was the best on the block. All the kids lined up, the girls too and the stray dogs. The Rock seemed shocked and Mick said of course, it was a little crusty. The Rock said that he doesn't want to hear about that and Mick said that he and The Rock aren't talking about the same thing here. The Rock asked Mrs. Schneider if she's still giving out pie? Mrs. Schneider said that she isn't serving pie from her porch anymore but she's giving her back door open for strudel. The Rock was shocked and he told her to get in the corner and he called her a sick freak. Leaving her back door open for strudel, she needs a doctor for that. That's sick.
The Rock said jumping off roofs is one thing, but that's nothing like what he did when he hitchhiked five hours to Madison Square Garden in 1983, a match that changed his life. They showed the match in question and that was on October 17, 1983 when Superfly Jimmy Snuka met Don Muraco in the steel cage at Madison Square Garden. The Rock said that he knows that match inspired him to become the legend he's become, so what Rock has done for him, say hello to WWE Hall of Famer, the Superfly Jimmy Snuka!
With that, Superfly Jimmy Snuka made his way out to the ring! Mick said that he's truly touched to have the Superfly Jimmy Snuka here in their presence and he says this straight from his heart; if it wasn't for Snuka, Foley would not be standing in this ring today. Mick Foley was there that night when Superfly annihilated Don Muraco at Madison Square Garden. Mick then asked Superfly Jimmy Snuka to be at Madison Square Garden when The Rock and Sock Connection take on Evolution this Sunday. Snuka said that it would be a great pleasure! The Rock did his impression of Jimmy Snuka and he said that nobody knew what he was saying, but what we did know... Mrs. Schneider walked over to Jimmy Snuka and checked him out and The Rock apologized. Rock told Jimmy to tell her that she's a dirty birdy. Jimmy responded by saying that the Superfly loves pie! Mick said that she's been so lonely since Mr. Schneider passed. Rock told them to get a room on The Rock and she can have her strudel, Jimmy can have his pie and they can have some kids. Go, get out of here. Mrs. Schneider was then helped out of the ring and Jimmy Snuka followed behind her.
The Rock said that everybody knows that Mick is an accomplished wrestler, one of the greatest of all time, an amazing entertainer and on top of that, he's an accomplished best selling author and this is the book that started it all; "Have a Nice Day." The Rock then brought out a critic, Mr. Bob Thomson and he wrote the first review of Have a Nice Day! The guy came out and Mick said to cut the music. Rock has to be kidding him; did he ever read this guy's review? He didn't write one. He said the book was sophomoric and boring and he said that wrestling and wrestling fans were idiots. Mick said that he doesn't want to meet this guy; he's been dying to stick Mr. Socko down his throat since he read his review! The Rock invited the guy into the ring, saying Mick can't do that. The Rock knows that and the fans chanted "asshole, asshole!" The Rock said there's a reason he brought this jabroni out because this man is Mick's life and he represents everyone that told Mick that he couldn't make it. The Rock brought him out here to let the world know that the critics are wrong. Just like the critics are saying they can't beat Evolution at Wrestlemania. That's wrong because they know they're going to beat Evolution at Wrestlemania and the fans know that as well and so does Bob! Bob told Rock that if he showed this much passion in his new movie Walking Tall, maybe his movie Walking Tall wouldn't be a walking piece of crap.
The fans chanted "Socko, socko!" and The Rock said he thinks Walking Tall is a walking piece of crap, huh? Is that what he thinks? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HE THINKS! Behind Bob Thomson, Mick Foley prepped for Mr. Socko and The Rock told him that he wants him to meet Mr. Socko and when Bob turned around, Foley planted the sock on him! The Rock said that this is Mick Foley's life and the chapter will come to an end this Sunday when Mick Foley and The Rock whip Evolution's candy asses at Wrestlemania if you smell what The Rock is cooking!
Batista came out to the ring and he laid out The Rock and then Mick Foley and Batista wound up in a brawl and Ric Flair and Randy Orton stormed to the ring to crash the party as well. The three members of Evolution triple teamed Mick Foley and Flair and Orton went to help Batista give Foley a power bomb but The Rock got back in the ring and quickly broke that up. Orton went for the RKO on The Rock but The Rock countered it and went for the Rock Bottom but Batista stopped The Rock from delivering the Rock Bottom. Flair, Orton and Batista then triple teamed both Mick Foley and The Rock and Batista planted The Rock with the sit down power bomb and the three members of Evolution stood tall over The Rock and Mick Foley at the conclusion of the show, but this Sunday night, The Rock and Sock Connection will meet those three members of Evolution at Wrestlemania XX!
