WWE News & Notes - 11/18/03 - Notes On Austin's Return, Vince's Bladejob, Lesnar/Holly, Angle Out 3 Weeks, Paul Heyman
The following news comes partially from the Torch Newsletter:

-  While WWE is working hard to keep the plans for Steve Austin's return from leaking, we do already know that everyone who knows the entire angle is said to be very pleased with where it's going. Austin has also reacted very positively to where his character is going.

-  Right now, the word backstage is that it won't be something that makes the Survivor Series stip look worthless, although the perception to that could change when it plays out on TV. Either way, going into the angle, expect Bischoff to maintain his gimmick of being unfair to various RAW superstars

I-  f you saw the PPV or have seen pictures, you know Vince McMahon's blade job was way too deep, causing massive blood to gush from his head. This was clear, since he actually did the blade early in the match (after taking only a few punches) and would not have sold that kind of bleeding that early. There was some concern regarding his condition, but from what we understand, while he did need to get stitched up, he should be okay physically.

-  Its been said that Brock Lesnar and Bob Hollys angle will play out on television, not PPV. Next months PPV is a Raw brand only and the SmackDown brand will not have its own brand-only show until February.

-  Kurt Angle will be out of action for about 3 week due to his neck surgery. The method, which is scheduled to take place today, is not considered a very serious operation. Angle will just be having bone chips removed and should be able to return to the ring pretty quickly.

-  Paul Heyman is set to be a part of tonights SmackDown show. At first, he was only supposed to work for a couple of months, until Stephanie McMahon was brought back on TV and regain her GM spot on SmackDown. No signal has been made that Herymans role has been extended or not, but he is set to be on tonights show
