WWE News & Notes - 9/7/03 - Zack Gowen's Fall, Ernest Miller, JR, Many Upset With McMahons
-  Zach Gowen's nasty-looking stair bump on SmackDown! was actually not done by Zach at all. WWE used a professional stuntman to take the fall, as they did with Jim Ross' recent burning.

-  Ernest Miller, who recently left the Velocity commentator's table, is set to be repackaged for a return to the ring, although it's not known if he'll wrestle full-time or be an announcer. In any event, all indications are that he has not been released from the company.

-  Jim Ross is the man behind the move to put non-wrestling talent on recent WWE house shows. Ross, who is in control of line-ups for house shows, got the green light from Vince McMahon to book non-wrestling talent such as Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff, Stephanie McMahon, and even Vince McMahon himself on recent house shows. This move was made in attempt to boost house show attendance.

-  Many backstage in WWE are said to be frustrated with the fact that the McMahon's are once again taking up the majority of television time. In a time where the brand-extension is supposed to provide many television spots for those who wouldn't have it otherwise, those spots are seemingly taken by the normal TV guys, as well as the McMahon's. Most in the locker room now realize that the McMahon's will dominate WWE television time for quite a while.

-  Look for the Jim Ross vs Coach match set for Unforgiven to be changed to a tag match featuring Al Snow & Coach vs Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. It was thought among many in the WWE that by adding Lawler and Snow, the match would become much more "wrestling" oriented.
