More WWE News & Notes - 6/19/03 - RAW Creative Writer Fired,
Sable Single,  Low Morale + Funny Rib On Bischoff
-  WWE writer Chris Bell was released from the RAW end of the creative team today. He worked for California's UPW promotion and was on a three month deal and was told this week that it would not be renewed.

There was no reason why he was let go, but from what we had heard, WWE had nothing but good things to say about him.

-  Jim Ross was doing the morning talk show circuit in Toronto this morning in preparation for his shot on Off The Record. He was on Breakfast Television this morning, BBQing some 'Wrestlemania Burgers', and shilling for the new cookbook. While on the Edge Morning Radio show, JR said that Sable is single now. No more Mark Mero. For those who have not heard, the two split-up several weeks ago. Many are blaming it on Sable's return to WWE.

-  With the recent return of Sable to the WWE and her very prominant role as Stephanie's right hand woman, it is no surprise to hear that Sable has become one of Vince McMahon's favorite characters right now. There was a lot of fear that when Rena Mero was brought back that there would be friction backstage, in part due to the abrupt end to her last run in the WWE. However, she is said to meshing very well with everybody backstage, and will continue to be one of the focus points of SmackDown!

Vince was also the person who came of with the idea of the "White Boy Challenge" with Rodney Mack & Teddy Long. It was previously thought that the White Boy Challenge angle was leading up to the RAW debut of Zack Gowen, who has been involved on SmackDown! in angle with Mr. America and Vince himself.

Vince and his writing staff have pissed off many mid-card wrestlers by saying that the reason they aren't getting pushes is because they won't be "the next Rock". This is not the way to keep everybody's spirits up, especially with the recent slump that the company has been in.

While Vince McMahon might not be in the mood to create pushes for non-main eventers, Brian Gewirtz, who is the head of the Raw creative staff, has been working on writing good stuff for some of his favorite superstars like The Hurricane, Chris Nowinski, and Christian.

-  This is going to sound absolutely crazy, but we can confirm it's 100% true.

In WWE, many of the guys and girls perform ribs on each other before live events. At Bad Blood, one of the funniest ribs that I think we've ever had to report happened.

Eric Bischoff was clearly not happy with the pie eating contest that he was involved in at Bad Blood and Mae Young knew it.

Mae (and this is no lie) stuck an anchovy in her underwear before doing the Bronco Buster in Bischoff's face. With Bischoff already unhappy about the segment, it only made it worse.

All you can do is just sit back and laugh at that one.
