| WWE News - 6/11/03 - Goldberg & Lance Storm Upset + RAW Rating | |||||
| - According to Dave Scherer of 1wrestling.com, early details from RAW last night in Miami, Florida is that a proposed storyline concerning Bill Goldberg was reportedly scraped at the last minute. The story making the rounds is that the creative team wanted to get much more heat on Goldberg from Chris Jericho heading into Bad Blood this Sunday. Goldberg however didn't want to do the "proposed" storyline since he felt Jericho had gotten enough heat on him so far. - Goldberg wanted some of the storyline with Chris Jericho changed because he felt it made him look too weak. In addition to this, he also asked to have his match with Rosey changed up as well, so that he could appear like more than a whipping boy. Many people actually feel that Goldberg is not to blame for this. It is the general consensus that up until now, he has been booked as someone less then tough and it hasn't aided in getting his character over. - Goldberg wasn't the only unhappy wrestler at RAW last night. It is being said that Lance Storm was pretty angry backstage last night. Due to the women's match running longer then expected, time had to be cut off of his match with Scott Steiner. This obviously caused him not getting any music intro and more importantly, him getting squashed in the match. - The June 9th edition of WWE RAW pulled in a final 3.5 cable rating with a 5.5 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. The first hour scored a 3.3 while the second hour scored a 3.7. This rating is down from last week's 3.9. On a side note for NHL fans, Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals only drew a 4.6 broadcast rating, much lower than what the NFL pulls in during the fall. The game shouldn't have been a factor last night with the RAW rating. Credit: Dave Scherer @ 1Wrestling.com |
