| The Latest News On Bill Goldberg/WWE Situation | |||||
| - Seeing as many news items have been posted over the past week concerning Bill Goldberg and WWE, we have decided to add a quick update concerning the situation as of now. To clear any rumors going around, Bill Goldberg has not signed with WWE yet but is much closer to doing so than he has a few days ago. Many feel it is only a matter of time until a deal is made but it is truly up to Goldberg himself he decides to go with the deal in the end. We do know that both sides were very close to signing before No Way Out however, things cooled off later that week but then heated up again this past week. As far as what WWE offered him around No Way Out, the details include 10 dates per month maximum and 100 dates per year maximum. Many thought that Goldberg had a problem with the number of dates he had to work but it appears the real problem in getting him to sign was that Goldberg, in addition to the 10 day a month/100 dates per year deal, also wanted creative control of his programs. This would obviously turn into a difficult issue (as we saw before with Hulk Hogan last year). As far as the list that was offered to Goldberg on who he could possibly work with, Vince McMahon brought up names such as The Rock, Steve Austin, The Undertaker and others. For whatever reason, Brock Lesnar's name wasn't even brought up. What make this strange is many fans would rather see a Brock Lesnar/Goldberg feud in the near future. We hope to provide more in the coming days concerning this story but we hope this helps out, clearing up any rumors or reports going around this past week.
