WWE News & Notes - 3/2/04 - What You Didn't See On RAW, Full List Of WWE Hall Of Fame Inductees, Foley's Black Eye, & Vince/Bret Meet
Thanks to Carrie Rich for the following:

-  After Raw went off the air we got a real treat as Mick Foley, The Rock, and Steve Austin all stayed in the ring and entertained us. They started by reading each others shirts and Rock teased that he would Rock Bottom Austin. They brought Lilian Garcia in the ring and Austin said that he was going to propose to her last week but he wasnt drunk enough. Austin did his own version of The Devil Went Down to Georgia: Austin went down to Georgia, he was lookin for bear to steal. This singing and goofing off went for a little bit more and Foley said that both he and Austin had lived in the Atlanta area for years and that he was very proud to be here. Austin then faked a proposal to Lilian. He got down on one and said Lilian will you..get me another beer. This whole segment went on for at least 20-25 min and it was a real treat.

-  The following is a complete list of WWE Hall of Fame inductees:

Jesse The Body Ventura
Sgt. Slaughter
Don Muraco
Greg The Hammer Valentine
Tito Santana
Bobby The Brain Heenan
Superstar Billy Graham
Harley Race
Big John Studd
Junkyard Dog
Pete Rose

Speaking of Pete Rose, we have been told they are bringing him to WMXX this year for something.

-  Believe it or not, we have learned that Mick Foley's black eye, as grotesque as it appeared on RAW last week, was one hundred percent legitimate.

Before the RAW "beatdown" segment, Randy Orton was instructed by Foley to punch him as hard as he could to bust his eye. Thus, while it was still choreographed, many of the punches were very stiff.

Orton, a rookie in the business, had never used such a technique and was very nervous about hurting Foley. Some backstage were in great fear of vision problems. In the 70s, this was often used to add believability to the angle, but is rarely done in modern times.

Mick Foley is said to have become obsessed with his angle with Randy Orton, mostly since it was his creation. Many WWE officials have been against elements of the angle since the beginning.

-  Vince McMahon and Bret Hart met on Friday, February 20th to discuss the possibility of a Bret Hart appearance at WrestleMania XX.

The two did not reach a deal, and it is not expected that Bret Hart will appear at WrestleMania. While anything is technically possible, something sudden would have to be reached, and that doesn't seem too likely.

However, the going feeling from the meeting is that Bret will appear at a WWE event down the road. It is not at all expected that he will be part of an angle, but many feel a last appearance is inevitable.
