Update On Bill Goldberg/WWE Situation + Steve Austin Note + Smackdown Rating
-  Negotiations between Bill Goldberg and the WWE have intensified in the past few days. The general feeling from both sides is that for the first time since the two sides started talking that there is a good chance a deal might get done. Apparently Goldberg has been known as a last minute deal maker due to his recent dealings with companies in Japan. The feeling is that the company needs Goldberg in the mix quickly if there is going to be something set up for WrestleMania.

-  The February 20th edition of WWE SmackDown pulled in a final 3.4 broadcast rating with a 5 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. This rating is up from last week's low 3.2 rating.

-  Don't expect Steve Austin to be at RAW this Monday night following No Way Out. The expectation is that hes going to straight to SmackDown after the PPV to begin building up Austin/Rock at WrestleMania 19. No word on how the Goldberg situation might affect this since it was planned to be Rock vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania.
