| Road Warrior Hawk Passes Away | |||||||
| It is really tough to report this. But, Road Warrior Hawk has passed away. It is reported that he passed in his sleep around 1:30 this morning. Michael Hegstrand was born on January 26, (year unknown), and is believed to have been 45 years old. He just sold his Condo to move today into his new home in Florida. His wife Dale said "he was going to lay down for a while, he didn't feel well." This is truly a sad day for the wrestling world. I grew up watching and loving The Road Warriors. Their intensity and attitude was the reason I watched wrestling at all. I'll never forget seeing them perform at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium on many a Monday night back in the 80s. Seeing them live was so cool. Michael Hegstrand, aka Hawk, you will be missed dearly. I wish to send my most sincere condolences to Michael's wife, family and friends. May God bless you and ease your pain in this difficult time. |
