It is being reported officially by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Bill Goldberg has in fact signed with the WWE. Meltzer reports the signing took place about one week ago. Goldberg's signing is actually a lead story in this coming weeks addition of the Wrestling Observer Newsleter meaning that Meltzer knew of this signing earlier this week even before the story broke about the WWE magazine cover. Speaking of which, for those that would like to see the much talked about WWE Magazine cover for the upcoming May issue, we have a picture of it below. You can be the judge whether this is an actual cover for the magazine or a fake. Either way, it is known at this time Goldberg has signed with WWE.
The plan is still for Goldberg to debut either at WrestleMania XIX or on RAW the next night. It is being speculated that Goldberg will be wrestling against The Rock at WWE Backlash on April 27 (a match that was being talked about to headline WrestleMania at one time).
The specifics of Goldberg's contract is not known. Both sides agreed on a money figure long ago, what had been standing in the way was how many dates per year Goldberg would work and who got creative control of his character. It is believed Goldberg agreed to work somewhere around 100 dates over the next year.
