Steve Austin appeared once more on ESPN, this time on the 6:00 SportsCenter to play "Fact or Fiction," where he decides whether certain scenarios in the sports world will occur or not. Here's a recap:
- "Yao Ming will win the Rookie of the Year Award." Austin: FACT He says this "kid is off to a great start" and that if it weren't for Shaq, he'd be MVP.
- "The Dallas Cowboys, under Bill Parcells will win the Super Bowl this year." Austin: FICTION Although he'd love to see it happen, he doesn't think the Cowboys have the talent to win it quite yet.
- "The Dallas Mavericks will win the NBA Championship." Austin: FACT Although it's a tough conference, he thinks this is the year for the Mavericks to win it all.
and finally...
- "Steve Austin will return to the WWE and win the WWE World Heavyweight Title." Austin: he hesitated, and then said FACT He said he'd by lying if he said otherwise. He will return and win the title.
I might have forgotten one or two, but no more than that). Please note they only actually showed his face for about a total of five seconds, as while he was talking they were showing footage of the corresponding topic. I don't know this for sure, but I would say they will re-air this segment on a later edition of SportsCenter tonight. They usually repeat these segments in case someone missed that particular SportsCenter. Interesting to see he admitted returning after avoiding the topic earlier on ESPN.
