Why do muslims perform namaz at prescribed times?
by Swirling Truth

The basic meaning of a muslim is he who has submitted to peace. A submission is required to be granted peace. Every single individual has testified that their Rabb is Allah in the spiritual dimension beyond time. The echo of that affirmation which we made can be felt within our heart. And it is because of that shahadah we took then that there is a desperate ‘search’ to say it again now….in this world and unite our souls of the spiritual universe with body of the physical world. Two magnificent forces combine to make a complete whole of submission. The quest in this world is to find something with which your soul and intellect consider worth bending your forehead in front of.

To find that Power is like………No words can define it

After waiting for years with patience Allah has finally been able to pull you into His clasp of Rehma and He really doesn’t want to let you go. How does He hold on…? ‘My slave come to Me five times a day. That’s your appointment with Me. Lets see how much you want Me. Prove it. Just five times….I had gotten so excited to meet you that I had planned to meet you fifty times a day. Now the worth of these five are equal to fifty. Cos you’re meeting Me and only Me.

If we’re reading a book and hear the Azaan what do we do? We get up and answer the call with ‘labbaik Allah!(I’m here Allah). What a beautiful scene of a slave rushing to meet to He Who is calling to him. Come to namaz come to success. What are you waiting for? Success is in namaz. For it is during namaz you ascend the seven heavens and join the millions of people around the world unbounded by time. You say Allahuakber with your voice mingled with thousands…the African rumbling…the Chinese composed pronunciation….the Scottish twist….the English coolness….the Pakistani accent. A million different backgrounds united in the shared spiritual language of Arabic. As you bow you can hear the swish of movement….the huge crowd of the muslim ummah bows with you. This majestic movement is the ruku. You praise Allah silently and very personally. Then a slow dignified return to the standing position. See the followers of Allah row upon row upon row. These are our brothers and sisters.

In a coordinated movement….the ummah gracefully falls to its knees. Each place its nose

In the lowest possible position. We are all one.

These are my brothers and sisters

We come towards the ending of our universal ascension.

Asalaam-o-Alaikum-wa-Rahmaatullah…

Left…Right

To you my spiritual brothers and sisters of the east

And to you too my spiritual brothers and sisters of the west

I come back to earth.
