Muskoka Roses Ltd. was established in 1990 by Mike Athy.  

We are committed to producing the best possible new rose cultivars. Through the process of planned hybridisation we have developed new varieties that express our goal of increasing disease resistance without lessening the beauty or scent.

We are a progressive company which has plants being trialled in the UK, Holland, South Africa and Australia.

 The first varieties to be released in NZ were Sammy (ATHYbrow) and Rebecca Susan (ATHYbecca) available winter 2003, and this year we will be releasing Dignity (ATHYspoon) and Thank you (ATHYou). In South Africa the variety Cullinan (ATHYlight) was released 2003.

We expect to have plants in the US and Canada by the end of 2004

We are in the process of establishing a hothouse rose trialling facility to provide detailed information to the grower regarding our soon to be released cutflower varieties.
