Meeting: January 21, 2001

The January 21 meeting of the Muskingum College Republicans was called to order by Troy Walton. The first order of business was the Oliver North event. So far the donations have included the plane, limos, chairs, stage, and an ice sculpture of an elephant. The Country Club is donating food at cost. Megan Payne is heading the Schultz Mansion team and Jim Hockaday is heading the Zanesville Country Club team.

Under new business, any one interested in CPAC needs to know by next meeting. The OCRF convention will be April 6-8, 2001 at Xavier University, OCRF elections will be held during the convention. Anyone interested in running for an OCRF office needs to contact Troy or Pete LuPiba. Megan Payne is running for OCRF secretary.

Renee Morrow has been named Executive Director of OCRF. The guest speaker was Don Mason, commissioner of Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Mr. Mason is a Muskingum graduate and the former mayor of Zanesville. He can be contacted at [email protected]

The next meeting will be held on Monday January 29, 2001 at 8:00 pm in Cambridge Hall Room 139.
