Haylie hails from Australia originally, and holds a first-class Honours Degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Haylie has already established herself in the world of violinists, having allready accomplished an extensive solo career, and is furthering that through playing 1st Violin with bond.
Haylie loves surfing, (and red shoes!) and her musical heroes are Nigel Kennedy and Lakatos, the ultimate gypsy violinist.
She has said that her passion is music and playing with bond adds a new dimension and perception to the way she plays.
In Haylie's part of the concert Brochure from the Royal Albert Hall, she was her usual pictorial self and drew a 'thought-tree' of everything that has happened with bond over the past year, I will try to type in as much as I can over the next few weeks, but for now, the introduction and thankyous she adds:
To think over the past twelve months, my mind races at the prestissimo tempo over memorable moments...and there are many of them! Spending time with BOND, promoting our album BORN all over the world, has beena journey full of excitement, fantasy, reality, fantastic times, WILD times, laughter, crying; learning & experiencing new cultures, musical styles, people, FOOD, each other...BONDING! There just isn't enough space, so this is the best way I can think of sharing as much as I can. The tree is still growing! |
