| Gay-Yee originates from Hull in the UK and attended the Trinity College of Music in London. Her hero is Carol Kaye (bassist) who played with artists as diverse as Elvis, Burt Bacharach, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and Stevie Wonder. Gay-Yee has played cello with artists such as Primal Scream, Spice Girls, Talvin Singh, Embrace, Sting, Bryan Adams and Barry Manilow as well as being an accomplished bass player. She has said that her whole life has revolved around music, although she'd really like to learn the martial arts of the Shaolin Monks. In the brochure from bond's UK Tour, Gay-Yee had this to say to the fans: Origin - Half Chinese and English born in Cyprus. Hometown - Hull, East Yorkshire - now lives in London. Star Sign - Gemini Loves - Playing cello and bass guitar, dancing, rollerskating and my friends and family (urgh!!) Favourite music - all of it! Not enough paper to explain. If not a musician would be a ....Dancer! Bond high moment - Performing at Pavarotti and friends in Italy and then singing at the end of the show with Tom Jones, George Benson and Barry White! Bond odd moment - Performing to an audience of soldiers + convicts in Bogata, Columbia. Bond action moment - Catuching a speedboat in the middle of the night from Naples to Capri for a video shoot then jumping in a helicopter so we could make a flight to New York to perform at the Stock Exchange on Wall St and Times Square. Final say - I would like to thank all those who gave us support over the last year and made it incredible for us, that includes all the fans too whom without we wouldn't have achieved so much!
