| 1994 |
| 1994 was a PACKED year. The year started off with a fall concert, debuting new dresses and tuxes for the group. Immediately, Warehouse turned around and in two months began the first "Tis The Season" Christmas show. Elaborate sets, alumni solos, and a visit from St. Nick created a holiday tradition that continues to this day. The competition season had three locations. First, the group traveled to Bishop Leurs, but placed 4th runner up in the night show. We were proud of our stage crew, who won Best Crew honors. In March, Warehouse travelled by bus to Florida to the International ShowStoppers Competition in Orlando at Walt Disney World. Performing on the same stage as the previous year, Music Warehouse swept the show, and came home with Grand Champion Medallions around their necks. Then, the following weekend, the group headed north, and became the first show choir to compete at two different ShowStoppers contests within the same year. At the Chicago contest, the group came in 6th place, after a tough competition. 1994 was also the second year for Contest of Champions, which grew in numbers after its well received presentation the year before. There were 14 performing seniors in the group, plus several pit and crew as well. The competition show was: Carry On Banjos (Bishop Leurs only) American Band/Takin' Care of Business (Florida/Chicago) (Somewhere) Over the Rainbow Hot Stuff/Burn Down the Night The Car Medley |
