| Ray Nason bass, trombone Ray was born in Sequim and has lived in the Port Angeles area his entire life. He bought his first instrument, a used trombone, when he was fifteen, and played his first professional job in 1942, during WW II when, according to Ray, � musicians were in short supply.� That life style so wore him out, that he had to take a break from music � one that lasted thirty years. In 1980 he so missed music, that he returned, to �play with any group that would let him.� Ray�s hobbies include metal working and logging. A retired electrician, Ray also built his own house complete with elevator. When he�s not playing his instruments up and down (musical scales), he can often be found conducting tours in his elevator in those directions. |
