| Our group attends John Muir School in San Diego, California. We all enjoy music and we believe it can be used as an effective form of protest. Phillip, a 16 year old junior spends time enjoying life without borders. He spends time surfing, playing guitar, and having a good time with his friends. "I don't need a quote, i'm too cool for it." Tiffany, a 16 year old junior enjoys art and poetry. Her music interests include reggae, ska, and classic rock. She strongly believes in personal autonomy and opposes [narrow mindedness]. "Before you point your finger, make sure your hands are clean." -Bob Marley Annie, a 15 year old sophomore spends all her time listening to music and overanalyzing inanimate objects. Her past times include going to concerts and spending time with friends. "Live life spent on your own actions and decisions. " |

| Summary of our project : We were captivated by the social issues category because we believe music is an effective form of communication in which the youth can relate. We decided to approach our project in hopes of spreading the word of protest music and it's message to society. |
