Pink

American singer Alecia Moore, is better known to the world as Pink. The previously pink haired star was called that because she used to get easily embarrassed. Other hair colours have included blonde and black. The singer is massive all around the world. In the UK she has had two No.1 hits amongst many top 10 hits.

Pink's first album was a top 10 success in the UK and spawned the top 10 hits There you go (No.6), Most girls (No.5) and You make me sick (No.9). In between the success of her first album and the release of her second album, Pink teamed up with fellow divas Christina Aguilera, Mya, Lil' Kim and Missy Elliot to provide the UK (and worldwide) No.1 Lady Marmalade, a cover of the classic La Belle hit, which was also a no.1 for All saints in 1998.

Pink returned in 2002 with her second album 'Missundaztood' which reached no.4 in the UK, bettering the success of her previous album 'Can't take me home'. The album hung around the UK top 10 for months thanks to the success of the massive no.2 hit Get the party started which spent a whopping 4 weeks in the top 3 and was only beaten to no.1 by the late George Harrison with My sweet lord. She followed up that success with the no.6 success Don't let me get me which namechecked Britney Spears. The song was also a big European hit. She then went straight in at no.1 with the dark song Just like a pill. The song spent over a month in the top 10 before dropping to no.11. But fans didn't like that and it was the first song since Alice Deejay's back in my life to be pushed back into the top 10. It went up three places to no.8.

The singer finished the year with another hit, Family portrait which got to no.11, so although it was her first song to debut outside of the top 10, missundaztood, became the second biggest selling UK album of 2002 just behind Robbie Williams, although it never reached no.1.
