Kelly Llorenna

One of the UK’s most successful female vocalists of the past couple of months, Kelly Llorenna, is to put out her debut album - All Clubbed Up - The Best of Kelly Llorenna (right)- at the end of October

It will contain all the hit singles she has had Set You Free, True Love Never Dies, Forever and Tell It To My Heart - plus the brand new single Heart of Gold

As mentioned, Kelly's next single will be a brand new version of Heart of Gold (below) and it's due out in October. It looks certain to go one better than Tell It To My Heart - once again produced by label-mates Flip & Fill and featuring mixes from Hixxy  and Infextious.

Biography

One of the UK’s most successful female vocalists, Kelly Llorenna, follows her top ten solo single, Tell It To My Heart with a brand new version of a track she originally recorded way back in 1998 with Hardcore duo Force & Styles.  Heart of Gold is due for release 4 November 2002 and will follow Kelly¹s debut album All Clubbed Up which will be released on 28 October 2002.

Kelly Llorenna is truly the Queen of the UK dance floor. She has notched up eight top 10 hits, selling over 2 million singles to date. Her impressive vocal talents have made her the most requested live club PA in the UK and earlier this year she was voted 'Dance Recording Artist of The Year' at the Disco International (DI) Awards.

Kelly, who hails from Manchester, knew from the tender age of 4 that she wanted to be a singer.  "I was the family entertainment', she jokes. A childhood spent singing and dancing for her family and friends finally paid off when she was talent spotted to perform on the hugely popular 'Wack-a-day' TV show.  "I was only 12 so it was kind of scary meeting Timmy Mallet!"  However, any nerves were washed away when she bumped into Anthony Hopkins backstage and he wished her good luck.

At 16 Kelly started Drama College where she formed her first band with 6 other fellow students called 'Freedom'.  They performed in clubs and restaurants all over the north of England, recorded music and played to sell out audiences everywhere, giving Kelly her first taste of pop-stardom.

Then she got her big break.  Sitting down with a bunch of friends in the common room at college, a fledgling sound engineer called Kevin O'Toole walked in and asked: "Can anyone in here sing?" And that was the beginning of N-Trance.

Kevin and Kelly got to work straight away, recording what would go onto become their best selling single to date.  Recorded in Kev's bedroom, Set You Free was originally released on white label in 1993. After relentless promotion, travelling up and down the country, singing for every kind of club crowd imaginable, Set You Free flew into the charts at No.2, selling over 1/2 a million copies and was only kept off the top spot by a certain Ms Celine Dion.

"I was so excited when we heard the chart position" remembers Kelly, "and it was a massive relief, we had been working the record for so long it was like a huge weight had been lifted from our shoulders.  We were just so happy!"

Following on from the huge success with Set You Free, Kelly's distinctive vocals were showcased on several other N-Trance hits including Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Paradise City and Shake Ya Body.

However, it has been the past year that has really seen Kelly cement herself as one of the most successful female solo artists in the UK.

2002 has been a truly an amazing year for this super talented 26-year old singer starting with the re-release of Set You Free in November last year which hit the No.4 spot in the UK Charts. Kelly has gone on to have 4 further top 10 records in the space of 12 months.  Sailing into the top 10 with Flip & Fill on the massive dance floor smash, True Love Never Dies, Kelly then conquered the charts with her first major solo release, a classic re-take on Taylor Dayne's, Tell It To My Heart, which debuted at No.9.

Kelly's success is guaranteed to continue with the release of her debut album All Clubbed Up. The fourteen track CD will include all of Kelly's chart success but will also include 7 new tracks.
