Destiny's child

Destiny's child have been through a lot in their career. There were originally 4 members in the group-Beyonce, Kelly, le toya and la tavia. The last two on the list left after a falling out so Michelle-a dancer and Farrah-a friend joined the group at the beginnimg of the new millennium, at the start of 2000. When Farrah was always turning up late for every concert, she had to leave which left only a threesome, which they remain as now.

The band have had some huge hits in the UK and in America. Most notably their UK top 10 hits-no, no, no (no.5), Bills, bills, bills (no.6), bug-a-boo (no.9), say my name (no.3) and Jumpin', jumpin' (no.5). They made a song called independent women and then when they heard it could be included in Charlie's angels-the movie, They changed the song including dropping the actresses names at the start, changing the tune slightly and changing some of the lyrics. Both versions were included on their top 10 album the writings on the wall which spent 2 years in the chart. The song was released and hit no.1 on both sides of the Atlantic. It spent 11 weeks at the top in the US and took LeAnn Rimes off no.1 in the UK. The follow up album and single both called survivor both debuted in the UK at no.1 and also proved huge hits in the US. The single beat one of the UK' s most popular singer's Ronan keating to the top. Their success just looks set to grow and grow as shown in summer 2001 when they made their comeback in style with a no.2 hit-bootylicious and a cover of a Bee gees ballad, emotions which also debuted inside the top 3.
