ATB
Atb stands for Andre Tanneberger, The name of the Dj who has produced many big hits around the world. He had just got some new decks and was showing them off to his girlfriend, which is when he accidentally came up with 9pm (till i come) his first huge hit.
He thought he would release it and when it entered the uk chart 4 times before being officialy released, he knew he would have a big hit on his hands. These versions came from the German import, the Australian import, the vinyl release and the re-entry of the german import. He released it officially and it went top 10 around the world and debuted at no.1 in the uk, where it stayed for a fortnight and beat Whitney Houston to the top spot. It sold over 900,000 copies in the uk alone, which insured it a place in the 5 biggest sellers of 1999 in front of Ricky Martin, Shania Twain and Boyzone to name only a few.
Later on, he had more success with another 4 top 40 hits including the top 3 hit don't stop, the top 5 hit, a cover of adamski's killer a top 20 hit with fellow German dance band York called the fields of love and the other top 40 hit let u go. The featured vocalist on his two biggest hits was Yolanda Rivera.
He had a European hit called the summer which only reached the uk on his album two worlds. It was this, his second album which showed his talent because it has two discs the world of movement which is a heavy dance album and the relaxing world is more of a chillout album . This is better than his less varied debut album-movin' melodies which featured his 3 top 5 hits.
He has provided the world with some of the biggest dance hits of all time and looks as if there are many more to come, judging on the amount of hits he is achieving in Europe currently.
