Relient K

Reveiw by MusicFreak

Relient K is a Break Out band that only becomes even more promising with their latest release, "mmhmm". Matt Thiessen joined with his friends Brian Pittman and Matt Hoopes to start the band. With the addition of Todd Frascone, Relient K started playing shows. Later Mark Lee Townsend recorded "All work and No play" Relient K's first single as a favor. Mark showed the demo to Toby Mckeehan(Tobymac) who saw potential and signed them to his record company Gotee records.

Their first self titled album was realeased in 2000 and has sold over 100,000 copies. "The Anatomy of Tongue and Cheek" was realeased in in late 2001 and proved their growing fanbase. "Two Lefts Don't Make A Right, But Three Do" came out in 2003 and with a #38 on Billboard top 200 chart. In 2004 Relient K released "mmhmm" thier latest cd. Relient K also has a christmas cd.

When I heard Relient K for the first I was skeptical of this band. Since then I have become a huge fan. Their music is energetic, fun, and rockin' out. It is addicting..in a good way. "mmhmm" is really different from their other cd's in the fact that they deal with more personal issues and relationships. Personally I think it's their best but hey to each his own. These Guys will rock your socks! So check em out!
