Celebrating a New Era of Great Chamber Music

Musical Arts International, Inc. began in 1995 as a cultural outreach program in Montgomery County, Maryland. Its artistic mission is to encourage and inspire audiences of all ages in the appreciation of chamber music, to uncover the tremendous wealth and variety of music in its repertoire, and to advance cultural growth with artistic presentations featuring music of all styles.

In the past, well known artists and ensembles featuring classical compositions have been presented. In 1999, a Jazz night was included featuring greats such as Gershwin, Porter and Ellington, in order to reach a wider audience in the community. High school students are encouraged to volunteer in concerts to earn credit fro community service. Our artists have been featured in Gazette Entertainment, the Montgomery Journal and Asian Fortune. Many have received favorable reviews from the Washington Post and other local newspapers.

Concert-goers enjoy the intimate settings chosen for the concerts and consider the program entertaining and educational. Now in the 11th season, MAI hopes to continue to bring music of high artistic quality and to use this as a vehicle to unit people in love, joy and peace.
