BACK TO "MUSIC GIRL 2002"
MUSIC GIRL "MELISSA"
A Long Island Girl. I missed Melissa the first time around, but needless to say, she caught everybody's attention this year. Between her looks, the car and the American flag, I think she's what David Lee Roth was talking about when he wrote "Yankee Rose"!
1. Name 3 of your all time favorite bands and why?
Poison (anything BEFORE this last album) Why? When they hit the scene, they brought with them the sound that I was looking for, for my generation. Though their lyrics weren't too deep back then they weren't corny like the teeny boppin' groups that were making it big and swarming my friends at the time. They were the longhaired pretty boys that discovered working out which in turn was making themselves and their sound hot! The potential was there and they showed that with their follow-up albums and they are still rockin' shows live today.Nickelback. Bottom line: their lyrics have essence! Nickelback live is the same as Nickelback's cds, pure talent without any help!
Rick Springfield. Say what you want, the man has talent! His music was there for me and helped me through numerous situations from child to adult and he's still got that sex appeal going on today!
2. If your life was made into a motion picture, who would be casted as you?
Sharon Stone. In her movies and interviews she's definitely a woman with brains, beauty, talent and she has a bit of the "tough ass" attitude that would best portray me. But if they turned it into a comedy (which wouldn't be too hard! lol), could they get Drew Barrymore? She's awesome!3. Describe your "Mr. Right"?
That's easy. Make me laugh, take interest in my words, treat me like a lady and have sex appeal.4. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Increase the speed of my metabolism so I don't have to diet! LOL5. What has been the highlight of your life, so far?
The year of 2001. I turned 25 that year and made a promise to myself that I was going to do it ALL and no one was going to stop me! I met some awesome new friends from all over the country, celebrities, and even some long time idols. (never got to meet Mel Gibson though or Rick Springfield-so they better watch out, I'm still after them!) Saw just about every band I wanted to see, created a website for myself, jumped on a couple of other sites too, even was in two magazines, had some poems published, went back to school to finish my degree and looked the best I could doing it all! (see my website for photos!)
