TEAM WORD GAME

RULES

  1. Team size is decided between 4 and 6 people.

  2. Each team member has a category which matches someone on the other team. e.g. If one team has a member with the category "Bowed strings" the other team should also have this category.

  3. Within a fixed time (5 minutes) and without reference to notes team members should write down as many appropriate words as possible under their category.

  4. The teams do battle.

  5. One team is chosen to start the word battle. they alternate calling out words under their category.

  6. The one who speaks last receives the points.

  7. If a word is repeated in the exchange of words the other team receives the points.

  8. There are ten points per round

  9. At any time a person can be challenged to define or explain a word used.  If they can do this to the teacher's satisfaction they will receive an additional 10 points.

  10. If they cannot explain a word when challenged or the answer is wrong then the opposing team receive the points.

  11. The winning team is the one with most points after 15 or 20 minutes.
