Key features of the Rock n' Roll  style

Standard pop song form: a format that is used for many formulaic hits, with an intro., verse, chorus and outro, along with a bridge and a middle eight

intro: sets the mood, the speed, the feel or ‘groove’, and the main instrumentation of the song.

  verse: when the voice first enters and sets out the story of the song, and in between the choruses carries the story forward.

  chorus: where the main hook normally sits and which sums up the song’s message.

  outro: the end section, which may use parts of the chorus, verse and intro to bring the song to a close.
