Learn and perform the Funga from Ghana
The pulse of the “Funga” goes 1 2 3 4.
This can be played on the Shakaree (Shaker)
The two halves can be practised separately to get them right and then put together.

Shakaree - This part keeps the pulse
Main drum - The lead player who also plays the start and finish
Bass- Often played by a larger drum.
Bell - The first sound of the bell part comes on the 3rd division, (the up beat which is shown by a bold, larger X. On the second pulse the sound comes on the 2nd and 4th beats. The 3rd and 4th pulses are the same as 1 and 2.
Up beat - Divide the pulse into 4. The sound is on the 3rd and 4th beat. The sounds will be divided into
