  1. Shakaree - This part keeps the pulse

  2. Main drum - The lead player who also plays the start and finish

  3. Bass-  Often played by a larger drum.

  4. Bell - The first sound of the bell part comes on the 3rd division,  (the up beat  which is shown by a bold, larger X. On the second pulse the sound comes on the 2nd and 4th beats. The 3rd and 4th pulses are the same as 1 and 2.

  5. Up beat    - Divide the pulse into 4. The sound is on the 3rd and 4th beat. The sounds will be divided into

    1. Bass - go do and

    2. Tone - pa ta
