Chapter 9: Criminal Relations
.....................Courtney�s studio............................
Diego was laying on the couch thinking. He wondered if he should feel guilty for knocking out Brook Lynn but he knew that he had to do it. Looking at the ceiling he started remembering the past when he and Jay were friends. It was in Cuba where they met, Jay was a gangster wannabe and they decided to get in the mob together. Both foster kids, Jason Thos and Diego Sanchez. Jay was 16 back then and he was 15.
Diego turned to his side and continued with his train of though. It was Diva, it was she who ruined everything. Jay and he thought that she would help them but she did the complete opposite.
He started remembering when Jay met Diva, she was so beautiful. She was white with blonde hair but she had a Latin flavor to her, someone in her family was Latino. Diva didn�t really know who her real parents were except for their race, but her adoptive parents were the biggest mobsters in Chicago. Diva promised to get them both into the organization but instead she and Jay fell in love and Diego was the third wheel. Jay and Diva then left Cuba and went together to Chicago. Diego secretly followed them only to learn that the two were getting married.
Diego finally started letting go of the past as he dosed off into a deep sleep.
........................Lorenzo�s Apartment......................
Devine was starting to feel dizzy as the empty bag of drugs laid on the floor. Colors were mixing up in her eyes and she started seeing red, as if her eyes were bleeding. She knew that a breeze of fresh air would do her some good.
She got her coat and rushed out the door, heading towards the docks, she started feeling even worse. A feeling that someone was following her haunted her thoughts but she knew that it was impossible, who could possibly follow her? She stopped on the way and held on to a tree as her head started spinning. She felt like her brain was going to explode but then she continued walking. The feeling that someone was behind her still continued to sink into her gut but there was noone there. She finally reached the docks. Hanging on to one of the railings on the steps, she started feeling pain in her gut and abdomens. Finally she looked down and started vomiting. She started feeling week but her head was no longer spinning. She looked down at the vomit noticing that it was bubbling. She realized that it was really some sort of acidic poison.
A sound of footprints coming towards her distracted her attention but before she could turn around, someone hit her in the back of the head causing her to fall head first down the steps.
...................Sonny�s Penthouse........................
Sonny Corinthos was sitting impatiently in the living room and looking at some old photos of him when he was 18.
�This should help.� Carly said while handing her husband an alcoholic beverage.
�Thanks,� Sonny said while taking a sip. �I can�t believe I didn�t know.� he started talking.
Carly looked at him intensely. The penthouse door opened and Courtney stepped in. �Hi Sonny.� She said simply.
�Hi Courtney.� Sonny greeted her but his attention wasn�t there. A sudden though came to his mind as he looked up at Courtney, �How did you feel when you found out about Mike?� He suddenly asked her.
It seamed like Courtney already knew the question was coming when she answered without thinking, �I was hurt at first. I had found out that I have a father and a brother, how do you think I should have felt.� She paused and then continued, �But then I got over the pain and realized I have a family. I feel blessed, I just needed time.� She finally spoke her mind.
�Mr. Corinthos?� Max asked while knocking on the door.
�Come in.� Sonny yelled while standing up.
�He�s here.� Max said when he opened the door. Sonny, Carly, and Courtney looked intensely as a young Latino man entered the room. He looked exactly like Sonny when Sonny was 18.
Sonny stood there for a minute and looked at the boy, then he finally said, �Come here, Son� while extending his arms to hug his long lost son, Jason Thos.
......................The Park....................
Lucas was walking home and constantly calling Brook but the voice mail always got the call. He couldn�t figure out her actions, why didn�t she want to talk to him.
�I�m not by my cell so please leave a message.� Lucas heard the recording and the beep that followed,. �Come on Brook, what�s wrong? Just call me.� He said and hung up.
It was starting to rain and he was starting to worry. He had been to Georgie�s, Lois�s, even Lorenzo�s place and there was no sight of Brook. He knew she wasn�t at L& B or Kelly�s since he checked there too.
He entered the park as the rain started pouring even faster. Lucas was surprised when he spotted a still body laying on a bench at the other side of the park. He knew the news reported that it will rain for 24 hours so he decided to play hero and try to see it that mystery person was ok.
He realized that it was Brook Lynn laying there and started running to her. Brook was breathing hard and was unconchase. Lucas picked her up and started carrying her.
When walking on the docks he saw another body laying on the steps but he was too busy with Brook to even care. He spotted Sonny�s where house and broke into it.
He laid Lynn�s body on a few huge bags of drugs and started looking around to find some sort of a blanket.
15 minutes past and the warmth in the room made Brook wake up. �Ahhh,� she moaned while holding her head, �What happened?�
�Shish, don�t worry, you�re ok now?� Lucas said.
�What happened? Why am I all wet?� Brook continued asking.
�Someone knocked you out, you were on the bench in the park.� He finally let her know.
Lynn was quit for a few minutes, then she spoke, �I�m cold.�
Lucas took of his jacket and covered her with it but she was still shivering. Lucas was getting cold too. He leaned closer to Lynn and passionately kissed her. They both felt some heat generate of the kiss and both thought of the same thing. Brook removed her shirt while Lucas took off his. Passion was running through both of theirs blood as they slipped into a passionate moment. It turned hot as they had sex on a pile of crack.
..................Lorenzo�s apartment...............
(The next morning)
Sage turned around in bed to face Dillon who was still asleep. Tears were running through her eyes as she realized what she did. The though of sleeping with her sisters boyfriend as the most disgusting things ever, but she had done it anyways.
�What�s wrong?� Dillon asked when he finally woke up.
�I can�t believe I slept with you.� Sage said in disbelief, �You are my sister�s boyfriend.�
Dillon could sense that she was mad at him for seducing her.
Sage got out of bed and put on a robe, turning back to Dillon she said, �This was a mistake. I will not tell Devine about it so please stay away from me.� Sage was mad and extremely guilty for doing what she did. She felt responsible though tried to explain to herself that it was Dillon who approached her.
She left the room and started looking for Devine but when she found an empty drug bag on the floor, she realized that Devine saw everything and was now gone somewhere. Sage fell to the floor and started crying knowing that she betrayed the only person who was nice to her without judging before she knew they were family.
.....................The Docks...................
Sage was walking on the rainy afternoon in hopes of forgetting about her one night stand when she spotted Devine laying unconshess. She ran over closer to her and realized that she was still alive. Devine�s mouth was open and the rain was raining into it. Sage knew that she had to give her sister CPR. Devine woke up and with one look at Sage, she remembered the whole love scene in the bathroom. Feeling betrayed, Devine slapped Sage and got up on her feet.
�I can�t believe you. You are just nothing more then a bitch.� Devine yelled out at Sage.
�I�m sorry.� Sage started apologizing.
�You�re not sorry. If you were you wouldn�t have slept with Dillon.�
�He seduced me. He wanted me. I just gave in too fast, I wasn�t thinking.� Sage yelled out while starting to cry.
�Excuses, and excuses. You could have resisted him.� Devine yelled out.
�I�m sorry.� Sage said but Devine didn�t here her.
�You know what? Georgie was right about you, I CAN�T trust you.� Devine said. A split second later she screamed as a bullet from nowhere dodged into her chest and she fell forward.
�Help!!!� Sage yelled while trying to stop Devine�s bleeding.
