Chapter 3: Scalding Words

.......The Singger House.....
(3 months later, Molly is 4 months pregnant)
�Mom, the trial is tomorrow. Will you come?� Molly came to check.
�No.� Gina answered in a brutally arrogant voice.
�Why? I would really like it if you could come and give me some support.� Molly pleaded.
�I said no. You shouldn�t have gotten pregnant.� Gina was stuck up, like always.
�Mother, please. I was raped, please understand that.�
�Yes you were raped. You were raped because you�re stupid. What, you don�t know how to fight? You are so fragile. I�m ashamed to have you as my daughter.� Gina stated harshly, �I should have had that abortion when I had the chance.�
Gina�s harsh words hit Molly and she started to cry. Tears were rolling down her face as she turned around and started walking away.
�Yeah, leave you little worthless piece of trash. Now look at what you have done, you�ve given me a headache.� Gina complained.
Molly wanted to tell her to go to hell but she decided not to hurt her mother like she has hurt her. She opened the door and went out. Molly made a promise to herself, to never ever talk to her mother again.
.........The Courthouse........
Everyone was there. All of Molly�s friends and their parents. She felt sad and betrayed at the fact that her parents refused to show up. Lois kept reminding Molly that she should be ashamed of her parents but she still felt like somehow, she was the one to bring shame to her family.
Lois was called on the stand. She told everyone about how Marco has abused her but he denied it all. Later a few other girls were called, all were ex-rape victims. Marco�s ex-wife was there too, she also accused him of being abusive. In the end, the judge sent Marco to 50 years in prison for domestic abuse and countless accounts of rape.
Molly was glad that the trial was finally over and that no other girl will be raped by Marco ever again.
............The Singger House...........
(Later That Night)
Devine went over to pay the Singger�s a visit.
�Who�re you?� Gina asked.
�A friend of Molly�s.�
�Oh, is she still going to pound me for not going to that pitiful trial?� Gina sounded incredibly annoyed.
�No...Actually, she doesn�t even know I�m here.� Devine said looking at her nails trying to imitate Gina.
�Then why ARE you here?� Gina asked. Devine didn�t want to take anymore of �Miss Perfect�s� attitude. She showed her fist in Gina�s nose. Gina lost balance and fell to the floor.
�Look at who�s the fragile little BITCH now.� Devine started yelling.
Gina got up and pushed Devine. They both fell down on an arm chair. Devine put her leg on Gina�s stomach pushing her off of herself. Gina was chocking her. Devine started searching for something with her hands. She grabbed her purse and tried to unzip it with one hand while trying to free herself with the other. It was no use, Gina was bigger and stronger then Devine. She finally got the upper hand when she unzipped her purse and pulled out a silver gun from it.
�Scared?� Devine asked Gina when she flashed the gun in front of her. Gina got off of her and started slowly walking away.
�You always carry a gun with you?� Gina asked.
�Yes.�
�Why?� Gina was actually curious
�Because when I was in Miami, I found a girl in a panic room and I didn�t have a gun at that time so I couldn�t save her. I had to go back to that place again with the gun. Ever since then, I bring it everywhere, it�s kind of like my security blanket.� Devine explained, �Now Miss Thang, if you ever hurt Molly again, this will be in-you-brain.� Devine liked to threaten but she didn�t mean what she said. She just wanted Gina to fear her.
Devine walked out of the Singger house and got in her car. While driving off, she was reminded about the girl who she saved.
[Flashback]
-Devine arrives at the Stalker�s house
Stalker: It�s you.
Devine: I promised, didn�t I?
Stalker: You sure did.
-Devine walks in.
Devine: Why don�t you go upstairs and I�ll be up in a minute.
Stalker: Why don�t we just do it on the couch?
Devine: I have a surprise for you, but I can only give it to you if you�re upstairs.
Stalker: Can I trust you?
Devine: I keep my promises, don�t I?
Stalker: You sure do.
-Stalker walks upstairs.
-Devine opens the panic room.
Mystery Girl: You�re here?
Devine: Shhh.
-Devine pulls out a gun.
Devine: Take this and go up stairs after me, shoot him in the back.
Mystery Girl: Ok.
-They go upstairs.
-Devine pretends to strip for the Stalker.
-Mystery Girl shoots him in the back.
-De and MG leave and go to a water front to talk.
Mystery Girl: Thanks, I owe you.
Devine: No problem, what�s your name anyways?
Mystery Girl: Kyla
Devine: Kyla who?
Kyla: None of your business. What about you, what�s your name?
Devine: Devine.
Kyla: Last name?
Devine: I could only play fair, can�t I?
Kyla: Fine, I don�t need to know.
-Both girls laughed, talked, hugged, and then separate.
[End of Flashback]
............L&B.............
Brook Lynn, Lucas, Dillon, and Georgie were sitting and talking about things that they didn�t want Molly and Devine to hear.
�We should tell her. She need�s to know.� said Lucas.
�No.� Georgie and Dillon said in unison.
�Why not?�Lucas asked
�Because she would blame me.� Georgie said.
�It�s not your fault Geogrie.� Lynn tried reasoning with her, �Tell her everybody.�
�It�s not you fault.� Lucas repeated what his girlfriend has said, �Come on, tell her Dillon.�
�I�m sorry, I have to agree with Georgie on this one.�
�Thank�s a lot Dillon, now you thing that I killed Sage too.� Georgie was modest and liked it when her boyfriend defended her, it hurt her to see that her boyfriend made her feel even more guilty.
�That�s not what I said.� Dillon tried to explain, �What I meant is that Devine is really protective of her family and friends, if she finds out that her cousin is dead who knows what she will do. She might try to take it out on Georgie.�
�I see,� Lucas said, �So Devine can�t know.�
�See, it�s better that Devine doesn�t know she even had a cousin.�
The doors to the studio opened and Devine walked in. She looked frustrated.
�What�s that on your neck?� asked Dillon noticing the chock marks that Gina has put on her.
�Nothing.�
�Did you get into a fight?� asked Lucas.
�Yeah, so?�
�With whom? Asked Brook.
�Gina Singger.� Devine said with a smile on her face, �And I would love to do it again.�
�Awwww,� cheered Lynn, �Finally, someone stood up to Ms Bitch.� Lynn kissed Lucas because of her happiness. Everyone was happy.
�Let me see those marks.� said Dillon walking over to her. He looked at her neck and the red lines on it. He felt an unbelievable attraction to her. Dillon instantly fell for girls who could defend themselves and don�t need men to fight for them. He was a little confused to why he fell for Georgie because the more her dated her the more insecure she got. Dillon wanted to kiss along Devine�s neck but stopped himself. He walked away pretending that he didn�t feel anything and hoping that noone had noticed the way he was around her. But of course he wasn�t so lucky, everyone noticed, including Georgie.
.........While walking home.........
�Georgie, I love you and only you.� Dillon tried to explain.
�You have feelings for Devine don�t you?� she asked
�No, honey...No. Devine and I are just friends.�
�I saw the way you looked at her.� Georgie revealed her true feelings, �I also saw the way you looked at Molly. You love her, you love both of them.�
�Here we go again,� Dillon was aggravated by Georgie�s insecurities and comments. �You know what? If you continue accusing me of loving other girls that I will. Yes, Devine is a whole lot sexier then you, Molly is a whole lot saner then you. Who know�s, maybe I will date them instead.� he took a breath and continued, �I need some freedom, I need to date some other girls then be stuck with a nut case like you.�
�Well, FINE. Go to hell, I never want to see you again.� Georgie spoke and walked away.
Dillon knew that he will eventually regret what he said to Georgie. He knew that his love for her was true and rare, but it couldn�t hurt to give other girls a try.
