Samantha McCall arrived to Port Charles in 2003 to end her family�s bad luck. Many generations ago her ancestors shot Wild Bill in the back of the head. Ever since, her family had bad luck. She figured that if she got Wild Bill�s Dead Mans Hand (5 playing cards) and burned it, she will get her luck back. She wasn�t the only one who wanted those cards. She hooked up with Jax thinking that she will steal the cards from him once he gets them. She fell for him, and once she got the cards, she ended up losing him. There was a long story with the cards, but in the end she gave them to a homeless man who was really Luke in disguise. She got back with Jax but she found out about a sunken treasure and went after it. Jax disliked her greed and tried to stop her, but she was too determined to stop. When she found treasure, she found a map of more treasures in an island called Azure Keys. She went there but lost all the treasure. Jax followed her to the island and found her there with Sonny. (Sonny and Sam were NOT involved.) They all got back, and Jax dumped Sam, again. She found Sonny and slept with him. When Sonny kicked out Carly, Sam moved in with him. Eventually, Sonny and Carly got back together and Sam was history. Until she found out she's pregnant. While in her pregnancy, her ex boyfriend, Nico, tried to kill both Sonny and Jason. Sam was also arrested for the murder of her mother (due to arson). At that point we find out that her mentaly disabled brother set the fire but she took the blame on herself. Sonny didn't want his daughter to be born in prison so he paid out a death-row inmate to confess to the murder. Sam was found innocent in court. When she feared that Ric may go after her brother Danny, she confessed to the crime. Sonny convinced Ric stop the charges, Ric agreed. She is now living with Jason.
