Ric Lancing came to Port Charles with a vengeance against his � brother Sonny. He became an attorney to ruin Sonny�s life. He fell in love and married Elizabeth Webber. She got pregnant and they were happy. Elizabeth get pushed down the stairs by Faith Rascow and lost the child, Ric blamed Sonny for the incident. When Sonny�s wife, Carly, became pregnant, he kidnaped her because he wanted the baby he has lost. Elizabeth found out about the kidnap and filled for divorce. To prove to her that he can change, he let Carly go but she was re-kidnaped. He then helped Sonny rescue Carly so he could find his way back to Elizabeth. After the divorce Elizabeth got hit by a hit-and-run, and was blinded. He kept trying to help her, but she always pushed him away. When she saw her first glance of light, she forgot her hate for Ric. She got her sight back and they re-married. She became pregnant by Zander and he wanted to be the father. Ric used info against Zander in order for him to sigh the baby over. Elizabeth left Ric and Ric pursued Alexis while still trying to destroy Sonny. When Kristina, Alexis's daughter, got sick, Ric realized how much he cares for Alexis.
