| 12 Days of Christmas Chapter 3 By Angel Brook walked into her history class and found a box on her desk. A smile appeared on her face as she opened the box. There was a picture of 3 hens and a French/English dictionary. Class went by as usual but at the end Lynn decided to talk to her teacher. Mrs. Kyles, did you see who brought this box into the class room? Brook asked. Yes, but I dont know him. Lynn thought for a minute and then asked another question, If you would see a picture of him, would you recognize him? Lynn knew that her teacher didnt have classes with any of her friends but Lynn had pictures in her purse. Well, I might. Lynn opened her purse and pulled out an envelop of pictures. The first one was of her and Georgie at The Cellar. Then after flipping through some of the pictures, she found one of Lucas with Dillon. Was it this one? She asked pointing to Lucas on that picture. No, never seen him in my life. Brook was a little confused but then she pointed to Dillon and the teacher again said no. Brooks opinion that maybe Lucas made Dillon bring the gift to class fell short. She wanted to ask if Diego might have brought the gift but she didnt have a picture of him. The pictures in her purse were from late July 2004, and it was December. I picture fell to the ground and as Brook picked it up, she noticed the importance of that picture. It was the last picture ever taken of Sage, and for once she didnt look like a slut in it. The teacher saw that picture and asked to see it. I know that girl. said the teacher. Was she one of your friends? No, not really, but I was there when then found her dead. It was really scary. Sage was a really good student. I noticed that she pretended to be stuck up but she was just so sweet. Mrs. Kyles thought for a minute and then continued with her speech, I used to think that she was as stuck up as everyone said until I saw her give money to a boy outside of class. When I approached the boy he ran so I thought Ill call his parents. Apparently the boys family was so poor that he didnt have any money for lunch so Sage would give him money everyday. Wow, I didnt know that about her. Brook started thinking out loud, Do you know who the boy is? She asked her teacher. Yes, his name is Mark Scovel. Oh, I know him, I have math and lunch with him. -----During Lunch------ Brook Lynn walked into the lunch room and walked over to her usual table who seated Georgie and a few others who she hung out with at times. (Dillon and Lucas had a different lunch period.) Brook told everyone that she will be sitting some where else today to take care of some important business. Then she walked away from the table and walked over to what was known as the Passion Lounge. It was a table in the lunch room that seated 5 girls who were complete sluts. Between all five, they dated almost EVERY guy in school. Can I talk to you all? Brook asked the girls whos nicknames were Candy, Caramel, Sugar, Foxy, and Meow. Why? Asked Candy with a stuck up annoyed voice. I need some dating advice. Brook lied but that was the only way the Passion Chicks would talk to her or to any girl. OK! Cheered Meow, the biggest Barbie of all. Well, Im thinking about dating Lucas but I dont know anything about him. What info do you have on him? She lied, she knew a lot about Lucas, just not enough to know if hes capable of being a secret admirer. I almost dated him, said Foxy, Hes so unromantic. He treated me like a piece of trash. Lynn smiled at her but in her mind she said, You ARE a piece of trash., How about Brian? she asked. Brian who, theres more then one? Caramel said. Brian Cass. Lynn told them. Oh, I used to date him, Said Sugar, Hes sweet when theres money involved. If you pay him, he would do anything for you but hes incapable of love. Its definitely not him Lynn thought. How about that new kid, Diego? Yummy! said Meow, I dated him last week, he is so sweet. I gave me flowers and gifts, and even a gold necklace that he stole from some old lady. Diego, what a romantic little idiot. Lynn said in her mind. Lynn was done with her information gathering and it didnt get her any closer to the truth. Except for the possibility that it might be Diego, Noooooooooo, she thought. Lynn then walked over to the table where Mark sat. He always sat alone at lunch. Poor boy didnt have any friends. Hi, can I sit here? Lynn asked, he nodded shyly looking up at her from his notebook. What are you doing? She asked. Reading. He answered. What are you reading? She asked again. A poem. He said. Can I read it? Lynn asked making some more small talk. Sure. He said as he handed her the notebook. The Poem read: Invisible I stand alone on a hill with noone around I cry by myself And even if there were people around Noone would see the real me. I look at the flowers that bloom in the spring Beautiful as can be I look at my self, ugly I em Pain blooms in me. Please help me show me I need you to see me The me who nobody knows. Its beautiful, did you write it? She asked after reading it. No, a friend of mine wrote it. He answered Whos your friend? Sage Alcazar, she wrote it. The words hit me, the fact that Sage wrote another heartfelt poem. Can I borrow it? She asked. Sure. He said. She ripped out the sheet, folded it, and placed it in her purse. Then she pulled out her wallet and got $50 out of it. Here. She said handing the money to him. She felt good knowing that she helped somebody. |
