Lambda Delta Omega:
A Brief History of Her Wimmin
Lambda Delta Lambda was founded on February 17, 1988 at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with the objectives outlined today in the LDO Constitution.  The Founding Sisters of the LDL Alpha Chapter are: Allison Adler, Lauren Sussman, Debi Knight, Marci Kaye, Krisi Burk, Josee Larochelle, Julie Leverance, Robyn Davis, and Canon Price.
The Delta Chapter of LDL was formed in September 1997 at The Pennsylvania State University by Heather Solimini, Robin Roberts, Sydell Payne, Heidi Monroe, Kate Kleba, Jill Dworzanski, Sara Doell, Erin Colton, and Kelly Bunce.  Our Honorary Sisters are: Mary McClanahan, Susan Delponte, Sue Rankin, Sally Maud Robertson, Erinn Tozer, Shail Maingi, Shannon Sullivan, and Jacquette Wade.
It was brought to the attention of the Delta Chapter at PSU that a physical science fraternity for wimmin and men already laid claim to the LDL name, as it was originally formed in 1925 and had a total of 13 active chapters.  Therefore, on February 4, 2001, the Delta Chapter unanimously voted to change the Greek letters to Lambda Delta Omega.  This officially made the PSU Alpha Chapter of LDO.
