She bangs on us every morning,
But all of the time she's ignoring
Our loud, endless calls for her to wake.
But it takes her so long for Pete's sake!

We beep and we beep every morn';
Another day at school we forewarn.
Eventually she is awake,
But she's still mad at the noise we make.

She drags out of bed...still mad at us;
To her, having us off is a plus.
She wants us dead; that we know for sure.
But for waking up, we're the best cure.

An alarm has a very hard time,
But why does our job seem like a crime?
We work hard and don't hurt anyone,
But she's threatening us with a gun...
She's Not a Morning Person
I wrote this for English; the prompt said to write something in the point of view of something inanimate... can you guess what it is?
... It's an alarm and I am "she"...  muwhahahhaha....
