~*There are four "generations" of Firebirds thus far:
The '67 through '69 models are first generation Firebirds,
The '70 through '81 models are classified as second generation Firebirds,
The '82 through '92 models are third generation Firebirds,
And the '93 + models are fourth generation Firebirds.
~*The name "Firebird" did NOT originate for the 1967 model. It was first given to a one-of-a-kind, turbine concept car in 1954. |
