Adopt Buddy!
Buddy's Story
Buddy came to us as a stray who was found eating out of a pile of garbage on the streets of downtown Toronto by a friend.  He was potbellied with worms, and had no idea what a leash or collar was.  We took him to the vet and got him dewormed.

We called the city shelters and all the local humane societies, hoping that someone was missing him.  But after waiting two weeks in hopes that his owners would show up, they never did.  We considered taking him to the humane society, but when we did, they told us he would be euthanised because they are overloaded and there is a possiblity that he is part staffordshire terrier.  We thought of trying another shelter, but then decided that he is very likely to go "kennel crazed".  He is turning out to be such a nice dog, we didn't have the heart to do that to him.

So we decided to try and find him a good home ourselves since he is such a promising dog.   We cannot keep him ourselves, as we already have two large dogs of our own.
It's been almost two months that we have had him, and he heals perfectly on walks, and even sits faster than my own dog when we stop.  His recall is also very good, and he is very good with other dogs at the park.  He is very eager to learn and is getting to be quite affectionate.  He is a couch potato, but when it's time to go out to the park, he's full of energy.

We have also started him on his vaccinations, and he is now a very healthy and happy boy.

The few things we are still working on with him are his socialization with cats, and his separation anxiety.  Like most terriers, he regards cats as his personal play toy, so I wouldn't trust him with small animals in general just yet.  As for his crate training, he has come a long way.  Like most abandoned dogs, his seperation anxiety was tremendous.  He used to cry constantly through the night, but now he settles down after a few minutes.
We really believe that Buddy has a lot to offer.
He's a wonderful dog that will need a loving home.
Can you provide this home for him?
