This was about the most heart breaking thing I've ever seen. This rusting cab with seats that are torn up and moldy, dead leaves and trash inside,is the cab from an ex-Canadian Pacific ten wheeler that I used to ride behind when I was younger. She used to run fan trips on the Western Maryland and Ma & Pa Railroads. She also some times used to double head with 1286 from the earlier pages, and this is what's left. Actually her frame was inside the shops and the guys at the Strasburg shops hope to put her together again. I couldn't find out if she'll steam again but I know she will at least end up next door at the museum, or at least I hope so. |
