At Long Beach, I majored in Instructional Design. I really wanted to earn a certificate in this program, but the Department Chair convinced me to try the Master's program. I followed his advice. Three years later, I earned a M. A. in Education, emphasizing in Instructional Design.
I worked my butt off to pay for grad school. I was fortunate enough (sort of) to work on campus at the Forty-Niner Shops. It's the campus bookstore. It was about minimum wage (at the time...maybe a little more), but it paid the bills.
I met more people there. In fact, I still see and talk to most of them. |
