She married James O. Shirley in Phoenix, Ar., October 9, 1915. James was born July 19, 1889.⁽²⁸⁾ James died March 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona, at 90 years of age.⁽²⁹⁾

Gertrude Mary Henry and James O. Shirley had the following children:

974 i. Arthur James⁷ Shirley was born 14 Apr 1921.

975 ii. Leslie Earl Shirley was born October 29, 1916. Leslie died November 10, 1916 at less than one year of age.

976 iii. Olive Gertrude Shirley was born January 13, 1919.
