He was just passing through,
A short cut on the way to work
But he never arrived; his
Shiny new motorcycle now a
Modern art museum reject;
His lover, who inherited almost everything,
Now cruising gay singles bars
Again; his wife shrouded
Behind her blinds and curtains
With his shiny red sports car
Her only reward for 30 years
And his sons left with choices
They will soon have to make.
